Pregnant women.. Please do get yourself vaccinated .. We have been vaccinating with Covaxin after Govt of India has given permission and have seen absolutely no problems so far. Infact Govt is suggesting to aggressively vaccinate pregnant women because it is you people who are at higher risk than others..... Reasons- frequent visits to hospitals, lower immunity than others and two lives within one body...... Please do get yourself vaccinated and protect yourself from Covid before the third wave begins......

Repeated doses of uterotonic medications, blood transfusions, single donor platelets, tranexemic acid, steroids and the list goes on during those sleepless nights we struggled.......to save this covid positive pregnant woman who had massive bleeding after delivery due to covid induced thrombocytopenia.... Can we ever forget how we literally were drenched in her blood...Can we ever forget how we sweat inside those PPE kits... how we operated through those fogged up face shields....
Words are not enough to thank each and every person in my team..for their care... their selflessness..... their dedication..
After all that I can proudly say today we saved both lives .. Mom and child .....

Breastfeeding mothers can now take covid vaccine.Govt of India has updated the vaccination guidelines. Either of the vaccines are safe and as a rule breastfeeding has to be continued even after vaccination. However we still await clearance from Govt of India for pregnant women.

Several women calling me and texting me to find out if it's safe to get vaccinated while they are pregnant / breastfeeding.. Here is to let you all know that Government of India has not yet approved Covid Vaccination ( neither covishield nor covaxin) for both pregnant women and breast feeding mothers.. Shall be posting once clearance is given from the Government.
For those planning pregnancy 6 weeks after the second dose, pregnancy can be planned. Meanwhile Stay Home Stay Safe ..... Be very careful.. Do your bit to stabilize the nation while it is crunching under the pressure of the massive second wave that hit us...

vaccination #. Would like to congratulate those who have taken the vaccine as they have moved one step closer to safety .. request the others to take the vaccine soon... I have taken covishield and I have had only mild headache as side effect. Covid vaccines are safe. Please take them. Only that can end these troubled days.... these days of PPE kits....
