How does our soul awaken ?

To awaken the Soul and attain the experience of eternal bliss life after life, one keeps toiling to get rid of passions, obstructions, attachment, and abhorrence. This is the traditional step-by-step path to Self-realization! On this path, through renunciation and penance, one has to purify the ego by getting rid of the weaknesses of anger, pride, illusion, lust, and greed. Only when the ego is pure, it arrives on the threshold of moksha (ultimate liberation). Hence, the Karmic path is quite a difficult one.

The soul is known as Atman or Self or the individual Self. The Self and Supreme Self are the two eternal entities of creation.
One is enjoyer and the supreme Lord of the macrocosm and the other is the enjoyer and lord of the microcosm of a living being. Such is the difference between the Atmān and the Pārāmātman.
