I'm reminded that silence isn't just the absence of noise; it's a profound experience of absolute nothingness.

I try to embrace the quietness, for within it lies the key to understanding and navigating the harmony of our own existence.

Amidst the chaos of our inner worlds, silence becomes a powerful guide.

I embrace silence by -
🔆 Meditating daily for a few minutes
🔆 Going on a mindful walk in nature
🔆 Having a meal in silence being fully aware of each bite wholesomely!
🔆 Listening mindfully - to music or just normal sounds of the world

Process - Practice - Presence 🙏

A practice can be many things, it can be filled with many variables and inputs with opportunities, effort, ease, and discovery. There is beauty in the repetitive practice, that's the nature of the process and I love that! ❤️

And, each time we move through the process - there is space for new awareness. 👁️

No matter what you practice, there is so much potential for wonder as it is completely for you ONLY. What you learn and gain is in reference to the personal growth of the soul. 🐚

Yoga (Asanas) is an excellent practice for desk workers who spend long hours sitting and working. It helps counteract the negative effects of prolonged sitting - such as poor posture and muscle tension.

Here are a few asanas that are specifically designed and targeted to incorporate into your routine that can promote physical and mental well-being, increase energy levels, and improve productivity.

1) Utthana Shishonasana (Extended Puppy Pose) — 2 to 5 Minutes
▫️Stretches the spine and shoulders
▫️Relieves symptoms of chronic stress, tension and insomnia

2) Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog Pose) — 1 Minute
▫️ Strengthens the muscles in the arms, shoulders and upper back
▫️Opens up back of the legs (hamstrings)
▫️ Improves circulation - relieves stress and tension

3) Anjaneyasana (Low Lunge Pose) — 1 Minute each side
▫️Improves body posture - stretches the thighs, groin, shoulders, and chest
▫️Tones the internal organs like stomach and improves digestion

4) Utthita Ashwa Sanchalanasana (Runner's Lunge/ Lizard Pose) — 1 Minute each side
▫️Stretches your ankles, calves, hamstrings, quads, and groin
▫️Improves balance and flexibility
▫️Helps in relieving chronic pain

5) Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (Upward Facing Dog Pose) — 1 Minute
▫️Stimulates the abdominal muscles and strengthens back muscles
▫️Opens the chest and lengthens the spine
▫️ Strengthens the wrists and tone the arm muscles

6) Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (Bridge Pose) — 5 count hold x 3
▫️ Strengthens your back muscles, glutes and hamstrings
▫️Relieve tension and fatigue in your back
▫️Arching helps open up the lungs and calms the brain

Remember to breathe deeply and mindfully throughout your practice. You can modify or adapt these poses based on your comfort level and the space available. Taking regular breaks to incorporate these yoga exercises into your workday can help relieve tension and improve your overall well-being as a desk worker.
