One of the biggest changes iv recently made is to not constantly think about what my next meal will be! I simply eat when hungry and stop when full. Saw an interview of that inspired me to bring about this change. And interestingly, two meals per day are more than enough for me!

Now sure, we have clients with IBS/IBD/ fertility/ athletes who need to eat multiple meals per day, but broadly, most people overestimate how much food you need VS the amount you move.

Diversity is the key to gut health. Meaning, the more DIFFERENT VARIETIES of plants you include in your diet, the healthier your gut is. The healthier your gut health, the healthier you are.
🥗🥙🥘🧆
Your hormonal health is better.
Your sleep is better.
Your immunity is better.
Your weight loss process is better.
Everything is better with better gut health.
🧄🧅🌶️🌽
But diversity is tricky. For instance,:
- learning new recipes is time consuming.
- making a new decision what to make daily is mentally exhausting
- Shopping in smaller batches is expensive.
🍍🥥🍈🍋‍🟩
So what to do?
Here is my mini- hack:
💫 Diversity in ingredients- Monotony in Process 💫
I go to the kitchen at 10:15 am every morning and make the exact same thing- protein porridge 🥣
I boil the grains, chop and add fruits, add the nuts/ seeds, add the protein bit.
I know exactly how much time it will take me, exactly what I am to do and exactly what I will eat. Thus, lesser mental exhaustion.
But everyday, I choose better:
- Oats/ barley flakes/ ragi flakes
- type of fruits I will put that day
- type of nuts I’ll use that day
- type of protein I’ll use that day (sattu, protein powder, tofu, tempeh)
There is diversity, still monotony. I’d shop my produce in bulk for a few weeks and still introduce diversity daily.
Hope this helps!

Every case history shared here is a mini victory for the power of sustainable lifestyles changes.

Normally I don’t publish case histories here, but I know this can be a motivation to many many people who are looking at managing their health with nutritional and lifestyle interventions alone.
NOTE: Absolutely NO calorie restrictions or portion control here, simply making sustainable lifestyle changes to help boost bodies fat burning ability 💙

There is two ways to go about fighting your cravings:

1️⃣ Self- Discipline: You literally go to war with yourself every second and resist the urge to give into your cravings. This is hard. Especially because you are always fighting with yourself sub- consciously. Research shows that most people who try this eventually cave in and feel guilty or not worthy enough.

2️⃣ Understand the root- cause for your cravings and get rid of them. Sure, temptations might be there when you see another advertisement of someone enjoying a KitKat, but the constant lingering “craving” must not be there.
🧁 🍫 🍕
Lack of quality sleep is enough for your hunger hormones to go all KuKu. Quality sleep comes from sleeping as per your bodies natural circadian rhythm (sleep around 10 pm and wake up around 7 am). This is just one of the reasons for constant cravings, there could be many. But my 11 plus years of experience working with people says this is most often the reason for craving inflammatory foods like sugar and saturated (bad type) fats.

300 calories eaten at mid- night is digested differently by the body than the same calories eaten in the morning (even if it’s matched for macros/ micros!).
300 calories from Diet Coke is digested differently than the same from fruits (even if we match both for having equal sugar content!).
300 calories eaten by someone who have a better muscle to fat ratio is digested differently than someone who doesn’t (even if both are having the same breakdown of proteins/ carbs and fats).
300 calories doing activities of daily living like climbing stairs/ cleaning etc has a different impact than someone who burns 300 calories in lifting weights (even if we ensure they burn the exact same “number” of calories).
Now, knowing the above, shouldn’t your focus be on optimising the body to become a fat burning machine from a cellular level VS trying to eat as little as possible? Think about it.

I just wrote a blog on Fibromyalgia and it is the most comprehensive, detailed blog ever on this topic! Be sure to read it on my webpage (linked in bio), or simply Google Roshni Sanghvi Fibromyalgia Blog.
Having worked with so many many clients globally for fibromyalgia management, the blog also talks about my personal experience of what works and what doesn’t, besides a lot of scientific studies and what they say.
If you struggle with fibromyalgia, DM me and let’s get on a call to see how my team and I can help you.

I know people who started PPI’s after a dose of antibiotics and have continued for years since then 😞
We often see clients like this who come to us with fatigue, nutritional deficiencies and lethargy. When really, it would take us only 4-6 weeks of lifestyle intervention to help with acid reflux!
🤌🏻
Look for a permanent solution when sick, not band- aid the wound with drugs.
🙏
Make sure to read my very in-depth blog for more details. RoshniSanghvi.com (or simply Google Roshni Sanghvi GERD diet)

Posted a picture of my morning Amla shot lately and there were quite a few DMs asking me how to make it. Here you go, iv added a few other staple recipes of mine too!
🥃🫗
Iv been eating these religiously the past few weeks to help manage inflammation.
🍵
Inflammation can be a major contributor to a variety of health issues, from joint pain to chronic diseases. Luckily, nature has given us some powerful weapons to help fight back! 🌿
🍈❄️
Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry, is a superfood that's been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
🥦🥦
Broccoli, a cruciferous vegetable packed with nutrients, contains sulforaphane, a compound known for its anti-inflammatory effects.
🫐🫐
And let's not forget about berries - these colorful fruits are loaded with antioxidants that can help protect the body against inflammation and oxidative stress.
🍓🥦
Fighting an infection? These are your go- to superfoods!
🍈🥦🫐
Need some inspiration for incorporating these ingredients into your meals? Check out my latest blog post for some easy and delicious recipes that feature amla, broccoli, and berries. Your taste buds (and your body!) will thank you. 💚

2023 Nutritionist of the year in the category “nurture with nutrition” by 💙
Now this award was particularly special to me for so many reasons:
1) The category recognised us for our work not only as path breakers in nutrition, but rather people who use nutrition to make a difference in the society!
🙏
2) The nominated people with me are people I look upto for two reasons, they are senior to me in my field, they work just as hard as I do to spread positive, science backed nutrition! To win among such talented people meant the world to me! I was so close to cancel even going to the award show after seeing the nominee list 😛 glad my mom pushed me to go.
💙
3) There have been sooo many many times in the past where brands have approached me with a nomination and asked me to pay for the award 🙄 iv always refused because it’s unethical for me. But this award was special because they genuinely awarded people who have made a difference! It truly was an honour being awarded by , one of the most ethical media channel out there.
🥹
4) This was my way to say thank you to who literally paved my career, has always always always stood as a back bone to anything I do, believes I am the best nutritionist on the planet 😛and forces me to catch up to his pace of growth. When I came home, he said this award is ours, I whispered, no, it’s all you 💙😭 I’m SO BLESSED with him 🪬🪬🪬
This was special 💙 to many more 👏
