INDIA is the birthplace of Vedic Culture and one glimpse of this Holy land is every man’s desire in a lifetime. This land is the only way of salvation for mankind. Then who would not like to spend some of their precious human life in self realization.

Our Indian culture, history and tradition is guided by the Acharyas, Rishis, Kings and Emperors who have enhanced the spiritual and cultural heritage of INDIA and thus paved the way for attaining the highest form of liberation.

The Vedic civilization is Varnasrama dharma. This Human form of civilization means we should mould the form of the society in such a way that we can easily live and save time for spiritual culture. Therefore it is said, tapo divyam putraka [SB 5.5.1]. The tapasya, the spiritual culture, is necessary, especially in vanaprastha ashrama to engage in “ANTE NARAYANA -SMRITIH ” .

The highest perfection of human life, by perfect discharge of occupational duty, is to remember the Personality of Godhead at the end of lifetime. Spending your last days in the cradle of mother earth by remembering the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Narayana.

Hence, the purpose is to provide a place ‘ASHRAYA” for elderly devotees who have served faithfully in ISKCON and have come to the point of old age and to spend their last years in dignity with association of devotees. The land has been set aside within the master plan, which will be purchasing a long-term lease to provide shelter for our current and future elderly devotees, for which, we have to finalize the financial planning and to design according to the needs of the purpose as purchasing the long-term lease units.

“ASHRAYA” would provide a quality facility which will be the same as in Vrindavan and Mayapur. The budget details and design would be finalised by the kind of dedication on Fund Raising. The cost effectiveness would be at par with the surroundings of Mysore closest to the Sri RANGANATHA TEMPLE.

As we know the serenity of Mysore and Sri Ranganatha Temple area is calm, pious, peaceful, pollution-free location with the cool flowing waters of Cauvery river ,very much suitable for this project, where the old-aged devotees can seek the grace of Lord Krishna at their final stage of human life.

The proposed facility will have a Sri Krishna Temple for daily Darshan & Prayer, Meditation Hall for Japa, Krishna Prasadam, well maintained clothes, Medical facilities, some reserve farming area for kitchen garden and a “Goshala”. “Nitya Annadana Seva” will be done by the devotees, which will add a major roll to fulfil spiritual progress in devotees’ life.

This is NOT hospice/death & dying care. This is for elderly devotees who can still take care of themselves.
