I’ve tried to deny it in the past like it’s a bad thing but the truth is; I fall in love easily. I’m not talking about just romantic love, I’m talking about LOVE. It could be a fragrance, a flower, the way the sunlight drifts through a window, a burning flame, how raindrops slide down the windscreen of my car - so many little things. I’d question it before but I know now that it’s pretty awesome. Learning to love without expectations can seem and feel heartbreaking (it’s a WIP for me) but when you realise how liberating it can be, you’ll probably always strive to love that way.

🇦🇪 Dubai, you stole my heart! My recent trip was everything but the typical shopping spree. Instead, I nourished my body and soul with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.

I cherished quality time with family and friends who feel like family. I met my closest friend ‘s adorable baby girl for the first time and reunited with after 20 years! Also met .shakti for the first time in person 🤗

, my incredible healer, was the highlight of my trip. Waiting since December last year, our meeting was truly magical.

Indulged in scrumptious Middle Eastern cuisine (hello, extra calories!). Found joy in Padel with and landed up in a Salsa class💃

My only shopping? Lebanese delicacies to bring home.

Dubai, you reminded me that true wealth lies in relationships, self-care, and cherished moments.

As someone who has conducted quite a lot classes, I’ve not only guided people through physical postures and breathing techniques, but also attempted to inspire them to embrace a healthier lifestyle. However, it was easy for me to forget that I needed to focus on mine too! I’m glad I’ve learnt how to flip the script.

It’s quite common for this to happen. When you’re fresh out of training and excited to take what you’ve learnt to the world or prove to yourself and those who’ve doubted you that your decision to choose an unconventional career path is correct, it pumps you up with a different kind of motivation/energy. For many solo entrepreneurs this means you end up doing everything by yourself initially - organising, facilitating, marketing, etc. It’s a lot but you’ll do it. You’re made for this and you’re going to do the best damn job possible!

Though, there might come a time when you’ll be sleeping and eating at odd hours, not getting enough movement, not spending time with family and friends, getting too much screen time etc. It’s important to catch yourself when this starts to happen. It’s not a secret - neglecting your own well-being can lead to burnout and diminished effectiveness in your offering.

As you inspire others to embrace a healthy lifestyle, are you also prioritising your own well-being and practicing what you preach? Are you taking out time to do all the things you love, nurture meaningful relationships and pursue your passions? You can’t pour from an empty cup.

Disclaimer: This post is not just about teaching Yoga. It’s not just about me either.

I’ve been putting myself in situations that are outside my comfort zone for the past few months. Simple things like signing up for a salsa class (I’m not the best dancer), going on dates, asking people I barely know to meet me for lunch, signing up for an open mic night where I’ll sing and play the ukulele (never played on stage) etc. It’s been so much fun and a great way to understand and know myself better. I feel like for a few years I had put myself in a little box thinking I had to be a certain way because I teach yoga, or only do certain things because I’m on my spiritual journey. However, opening up my mind and stepping outside of that box has helped me get closer to understanding myself. I trust my own judgement and set my boundaries so much better now. It’s liberating. There are so many interesting and beautiful things and people out there, I’m glad I’m at a place where I can explore and enjoy myself guilt-free. Anyone here who can relate? And have you tried something new lately? I’d love to know :)

Making dreams come true. In August 2023, I came across an ad for a hotel in Dharamshala which looked absolutely stunning. Snow capped mountains, a gorgeous sky and greenery all around. For some reason this ad had a very calming effect on me, so I took a screenshot. I’d look at it quite often when I wouldn’t be feeling too good and I’d imagine myself sitting there, on a particular chair, happy, healthy and full of love. At that time I didn’t know how I’d make the journey because it’s quite a journey from Bangalore.

Fast forward to June 2024, not only was I sitting in that same chair healthy, happy and full of love, I was also surrounded by love from my two angels .yoga and . The snow capped mountains barely had any snow, the sun was beating down on us, I barely spent 5 minutes at this dream spot of mine but it meant the world to me. The best part is, the journey that I thought would be tough was so smooth. Niru & Tutu, maybe someday I’ll have right/better words to be able to express what you did for me 💜

Live in gratitude and miracles will happen.

My gratitude to my Gurus, Devi, family, friends, healer and doctors for helping me make my dreams come true.

“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” - Henri Matisse

One of my favourite quotes that serves as a reminder that there are many beautiful people, things and events that happen in our lives but we might not be paying attention or noticing. It’s when we start paying attention to the “flowers” that everything changes.

For me, my garden is made up of beautiful flowers in the form of family, friends and time spent with them - the best blooms 🌸
