This is not just a survival story — it's a testament to human spirit and humanity.

Rabindranath, a fisherman from the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, set out six years ago with 15 colleagues on a routine fishing trip near Haldia, in the Bay of Bengal. But nature had other plans.

A sudden storm swept across the sea. The winds howled, the waves roared, and the boat—tossed like a toy—capsized in the chaos.
All 16 men were thrown into the vast, unforgiving ocean.
Among them was Rabindranath.

But Rabindranath didn’t give up.

A fisherman by profession, the sea wasn’t his enemy—it was his second home. Fear didn’t grip him, even as the others disappeared into the waves. He kept swimming.
Hours turned into days. Only the sky above and endless water below. No food. No drinking water. Just sheer will to survive.

For five days, he swam—alone.
When it rained, he sipped the falling drops.
Every wave felt like the last. But still, he didn’t stop.
Death hovered nearby, but Rabindranath's courage was greater.

Day 5.
Far away, near Kutubdia Island in Bangladesh—over 600 kilometers from where he had started—cargo ship MV Jawad was passing by.

From a distance, the ship’s captain noticed a faint movement in the water. He looked closer: someone was swimming.

A life jacket was thrown, but it didn’t reach. Still, the ship didn’t sail past.
In that moment, there were no boundaries—no lines of nationality, caste, or religion. There was just one truth: a human life needed saving.

Rabindranath emerged again at a different spot. This time, the captain turned the ship.
Another life jacket—this time he caught it.
Exhausted and trembling, he was pulled aboard using a crane.

He was tired. Dehydrated. On the verge of collapse.
But he was alive.

As he stepped onto the ship, the entire crew erupted in cheers—not just because they had saved a man, but because they had witnessed something bigger:
The triumph of humanity.

A sailor on board recorded the moment—and even today, that footage stirs the soul of everyone who sees it.

❤️ Thank you to every sailor on that ship.
You didn’t just save a life—you reignited our faith in humankind.

Sometimes, one man’s refusal to give up, and another man’s decision to care, can change everything.

😮‍💨 Millions of people live with asthma and yet, many of them don’t know it. It is one of the most common conditions among children. Unfortunately, it is also unknown, underdiagnosed and undertreated.

🫁 Asthma is a chronic condition and affects the airways in our lungs. People who have asthma have particularly sensitive airways and they can become narrowed from time to time.

When the airways become narrow, symptoms start:

❤️‍🩹Cough
❤️‍🩹Difficulty breathing
❤️‍🩹Wheezing

The symptoms are not there all the time, they come and go, but are often worse at night or during exercise.

Asthma can be triggered by many different things, for example:

🔹 Cigarette smoke
🔹 Air pollution
🔹 Dust
🔹 Animal fur
🔹 Respiratory infections
🔹 Grass pollen

Even though there is no cure for asthma, for children, the condition often gets better as they get older. It’s important to try to avoid the triggers, but it’s not always possible.

👩🏾‍⚕️ If you or your loved ones are experiencing symptoms, make sure to see your healthcare professional. They can make the diagnosis, prescribe treatment and provide you with an action plan to manage the condition successfully.

The Ongoing Genocide: Decades of Israeli Atrocities Against Palestinians

For decades, Israel has carried out a brutal campaign of occupation, apartheid, and genocide against the Palestinian people. Since the Nakba (Catastrophe) of 1948, millions of Palestinians have been forcibly expelled from their lands, their homes demolished, and their basic human rights denied. This systematic oppression has continued uninterrupted for over 75 years, with Israel committing countless war crimes under the protection and backing of the United States and its allies.

However, the scale of violence and destruction in the past year has reached an unprecedented level of brutality. More than 60,000 innocent Palestinians—mostly women and children—have been massacred by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which has proven itself to be nothing more than a terrorist organization engaged in ethnic cleansing and genocide.

: From a Besieged Land to a Mass Grave

Since October 2023, Israel has turned Gaza into a complete ruin. Once a densely populated home to over 2.3 million Palestinians, it has now been reduced to a landscape of rubble, death, and despair. The IDF has used relentless airstrikes, artillery shelling, and chemical weapons, leaving no place safe for civilians. Entire families have been wiped out, and thousands of bodies remain buried under collapsed buildings.

The deliberate targeting of civilians is a clear war crime, yet the world continues to look away. The bombing of refugee camps, hospitals, and schools has been a key part of Israel’s strategy—not accidents, but intentional attacks aimed at eradicating the Palestinian population.

and Refugee Camps: No Safe Haven

Israeli airstrikes have specifically targeted hospitals, forcing thousands of injured civilians, children, and cancer patients to die in agony. The Turkish Friendship Hospital, the only cancer treatment center in Gaza, has been bombed, cutting off the last hope for those fighting deadly diseases. Ambulances, doctors, and aid workers have been attacked, making medical treatment nearly impossible.

Refugee camps, meant to shelter the displaced and defenseless, have also been mercilessly bombed. Families who fled their homes seeking safety have been slaughtered in their tents. These massacres are not isolated incidents—they are part of a systematic extermination plan.

as a Weapon: A Siege of Death

Israel has imposed a total blockade on Gaza, cutting off food, water, medicine, and electricity. Humanitarian aid has been blocked, bombed, or confiscated. Starvation is now being used as a weapon, forcing children to die from hunger and dehydration while the world watches in silence. Food trucks have been deliberately targeted, aid convoys attacked, and water sources destroyed.

Israel’s goal is clear: to make survival impossible for Palestinians. The United Nations and humanitarian organizations have confirmed that famine is imminent, yet Israel continues to deny access to essential supplies.

Destruction: A War Against the Land

Beyond human casualties, Israel has also waged war against Palestinian land and nature. Thousands of olive trees—symbols of Palestinian heritage and livelihood—have been uprooted. Farmlands have been destroyed, ensuring that Palestinians cannot rebuild or sustain themselves. Even cemeteries have been bombed, denying the dead a place to rest in peace.

Role of the United States: Funding Genocide

The United States has been the biggest enabler of Israeli war crimes. Billions of dollars in military aid, advanced weaponry, and diplomatic protection have allowed Israel to continue its campaign of ethnic cleansing with impunity. The U.S. government funds the IDF’s war machine, vetoes any UN resolutions against Israel, and ensures that no international accountability is imposed.

This blind support has made the U.S. complicit in genocide. Every bomb dropped on Palestinian children, every bullet fired at unarmed civilians, and every missile that destroys a hospital has American fingerprints on it.

Call for : The World Must Act

The atrocities committed by Israel are not just another conflict—they are genocide. The deliberate killing of children, bombing of hospitals, destruction of homes, and starvation of an entire population fit every definition of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The world must wake up. Governments, media, and international organizations must stop their silence and complicity. Sanctions must be imposed on Israel, military aid must be cut, and war criminals must be prosecuted.

Palestine must be free from Israeli occupation, oppression, and genocide. Every voice matters in the fight for justice. Every action counts in stopping this humanitarian catastrophe.
