On 23rd April 2026, the Extramural Committee organized a debate competition to mark World Book and Copyright Day. The theme of the debate, “Libraries Are Becoming Irrelevant in the Digital Age,” encouraged students to critically analyze and express their perspectives on the evolving role of libraries in today’s technology-driven world.
Undergraduate students participated with great enthusiasm, presenting well-structured arguments both in favor of and against the topic. The competition provided an excellent platform for students to enhance their communication skills, critical thinking, and confidence in public speaking.

The Kannada Balaga Committee of KLE Institute of Physiotherapy, Belagavi organized a Speech Competition on 18th April 2026 to commemorate Basava Jayanti. The program commenced with Malarpane to Basavanna as a tribute to Jagajyoti Basaveshwara. Professor Shashikant B. Taradale graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Judge, delivering an inspiring speech that highlighted the values, teachings, and social reforms of Basavanna, encouraging students to follow the principles of equality, truth, and humanity. Students from various KLE institutions actively participated and shared their views on the life and teachings of Basavanna. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and concluded successfully, making it an informative and inspiring celebration of Basava Jayanti.

The session was led by Dr. Mohandass G (PT), Senior Executive Physiotherapist at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore. On the occasion of National Biomechanics Day, the Department of Biomechanics, Physiotherapy, organized a screening and awareness camp on 8th April 2026. As part of the initiative, 100 informational pamphlets were distributed, highlighting the importance of biomechanical assessment, with a focus on posture evaluation and gait analysis.
A free screening camp was conducted to assess individuals for postural deviations and gait abnormalities.A total of 35 individuals were screened, including faculty members.
