Congratulations..Praveen kumar🇮🇳

India’s Praveen Kumar clinched the silver medal in the men’s high jump T64 event of the Paralympics, taking the country’s haul to 11 in the ongoing Games here.

The 18-year-old Kumar, competing in his debut Paralympics, set a new Asian record with a 2.07m jump to finish behind Great Britain’s Jonathan Broom-Edwards, who notched up his season’s best of 2.10m for the gold.

Multiple leading international organisations have united to launch WeThe15, which aspires to be the biggest ever human rights movement to represent the world’s 1.2 billion persons with disabilities.

Launched ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, WeThe15 aims to end discrimination towards persons with disabilities and act as a global movement publicly campaigning for disability visibility, accessibility, and inclusion.

Spearheaded by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and International Disability Alliance (IDA), WeThe15 brings together the biggest coalition ever of international organisations from the worlds of sport, human rights, policy, business, arts, and entertainment. Together they will work with governments, businesses, and the public over the next decade to initiate change for the world’s largest marginalised group who make up 15% of the global population.

The centre, to be manned by two personnel from We Are Your Voice, would also help upskill these persons as per the requirement of private companies.

The NGO would be the ex*****on partner for this special project, administration wanted to ensure that employers take the mandate of providing equal opportunity for the disabled seriously.

The court for specially abled persons has issued a notice to the state’s rural development and panchayati raj department directing it to formulate a plan for finalising a fixed number of PwDs (persons with disabilities) to be recruited for MGNREGA work in the state annually.
In Rajasthan, the state government has already increased the number of days of work for PwDs under the scheme by 100 days. Giving a reminder to the department, the court directed it to take action in the matter as per rules and inform the court about the same
