9. The 500-bed ESIC Hospital and College has been built on a 25-acre (10 ha) plot at a cost of ₹523 crore. The Medical College was inaugurated on 7th July 2018, under the aegis of the ESI Corporation, a central autonomous body under Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. Affiliated to The Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, it has started MBBS program since 2021 with an annual intake capacity of 100. The hospital provides primary and tertiary healthcare facilities to the workers insured under the ESI Corporation, as well as general public and is one of the tertiary care referral center for smaller ESI clinic and dispensaries.
