Five koshas explanation

Annamaya Kosha – The Physical Layer“Anna” means food—this sheath is the physical body sustained by food.It is tangible, material, and perceivable through the senses.
Pranamaya Kosha – The Energy LayerComposed of prana (life force), this governs breath and vitality.Associated with the respiratory and circulatory systems.
Manomaya Kosha – The Mind LayerThe mental body, consisting of thoughts, emotions, and sensory processing.This sheath is active in cognition, emotions, and reaction.
Vijnanamaya Kosha – The Wisdom LayerThe intellect and intuition—our discerning and knowing faculty.It allows self-reflection, insight, and deeper understanding.
Anandamaya Kosha – The Bliss LayerThe innermost and subtlest layer.Source of bliss, peace, and our connection with the universal consciousness.

Manipulation is when someone tries to control or influence another person in a sneaky or unfair way. This can happen in friendships, families, or at work. Some common ways people manipulate others include making them feel guilty, using kindness to gain control, or pretending to be a victim to get sympathy. It's important to recognize manipulation by noticing when someone’s words or actions don’t match up or when something feels wrong. If you think you’re being manipulated, it’s helpful to set clear boundaries, talk openly about your feelings, and seek support from friends or family. Understanding manipulation can help you protect yourself and build healthier relationships.

An example of how energy healing can help our lives.

The figure on the left has number of issues and likely finds it difficult to love himself and others (block in heart chakra), feels de-energised and anxious about providing for himself (disfigured base chakra), difficult to fully express his natural creativity (undercharged sacral), has potential headaches and fuzzy thinking (clogged energy in head) and difficult to express himself in what he does in the world and verbally (torn solar plexus and undercharged throat chakra).

Through a series of energy healings coupled with a willingness to witness himself, and change his habitual patterns he achieves the bright, charged, clear energy field on the right. An ability to think more clearly, be confident in his expression of who he us, to love himself and others and to feel comfortable in his body and his life.

Many of us find ourselves caught in a cycle of chasing quick hits of dopamine. Do you scroll for hours? Shop when you don't need anything? Or rely on coffee and energy drinks to get through the day?

These habits give our brains a quick dopamine boost, but they also leave us wanting more almost immediately.

There is a healthier way to retrain our brains to receive dopamine through longer-lasting activities.

Reiki is one such practice.

Before our students fully understood Reiki (and all are still learning!), they knew that spending an hour with my Reiki Grand Master was the highlight of their day. They looked forward to it every time, and AHC still do!

As we practiced more Reiki, that happiness extended beyond that hour. Our internal peace grew as we continued to heal and learn.

Do I have it all figured out? Not at all. I still have days when I struggle with stress and occasionally slip back into old habits. However, I can recognize those moments for what they are, and I have the tools—thanks to Reiki—to help me navigate through them.
