ENDOMETRIAL RECEPTIVITY ASSAY

To optimise the IVF outcomes, we strive hard & individualise treatment plan for each n every case.

Taking up here, one important component of such individualised IVF treatments : ERA (endometrial receptivity assay).

It is a diagnostic test that allows a personalized embryo transfer timing by synchronising the embryo transfer with the patient's window of implantation.

Lets understand further ,,,,

is endometrial receptivity?
The endometrium is a tissue lining the interior of the uterus where the embryo implants and grows during pregnancy.

The endometrium is said receptive when it is ready for embryo implantation.

This period of receptivity is called window of implantation.

Occasionally, the optimal day to perform the frozen embryo transfer may be displaced. 3 in every 10 women have a displaced window of implantation.

ERA test is indicated?

ERA has greatest benefit for those who have experienced repeated implantation failures.
An endometrial biopsy sample is taken in a mock embryo transfer cycle. Further, genetic analysis is done to detect endometrial receptivity.
