Whole grain consumers consistently show

Just because whole-grain or oatmeal eaters appear healthier does not automatically mean that eating oatmeal alone is the cause.

📌 That is why researchers moved beyond observation and conducted a Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial (2013):

💧 Can Drinking Water Make You Smarter?

Your brain is 75% water.
When you become even mildly dehydrated, your brain literally shrinks — and that impacts your focus, alertness, and memory.

A study on schoolchildren in Los Angeles and Manhattan found that nearly two-thirds arrived at school mildly dehydrated, which negatively affected their test performance.

But when one group drank just 250 ml of water before a test, their scores and focus improved significantly.
💡 Even mild dehydration can slow your thinking, reduce energy, and cloud judgment — but the effects are immediately reversed once you rehydrate.

Interestingly, research shows that cold water absorbs about 20% faster than room-temperature water, quickly restoring alertness and mood.

🧠 The Brain–Hydration Connection

Restricting fluid intake increases sleepiness, fatigue, and confusion,
while adequate hydration enhances vigor, clarity, and happiness — often within minutes.

A simple hydration self-test:

Empty your bladder → drink 750 ml of water → if you urinate less than 250 ml within an hour, you were likely dehydrated.
