“Back to life” is a one of a kind initiative which aims to have an exclusive Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation centre for the bedridden patients who had thought that their life have ended due to the injuries they have suffered and the great deal of trauma, (both physical and mental) they have gone through. What we are proposing is a 10 bedded Physiotherapy center (rehabilitation center) where patients are admitted for a period of 4-5 months for physiotherapy treatment. Every day the patients will be benefited with twice physiotherapy treatment under the guidance of expert physiotherapists. Yoga, Speech therapy, Motivational speeches & Training, Interactions with recovered persons, Recreational activities should be included to uplift their Physical, Psychological, Emotional & Social status. Mainly Paraplegics, Quadriplegics, Stroke patients, Spinal cord related & Nervous system related disorders are to be taken into consideration. Recovery of the Patients (to perform their ADL*) is the aim of the treatment. Patients will be able to lead an independent or minimal dependant life after the long duration treatment offered at the center. Bystanders will be taught how to perform movements and exercises on paralyzed limbs & precautions will be taken so that they can do passive movements or assisted movements to gain strength and to maintain muscle tone.

Electrotherapy, Exercise therapy, various techniques and methods will be applied to get the best result possible. Later on, Gait training (normal walking method) should be performed with or without Caliper support. Splints and Braces shall be provided to prevent deformities. This will be the first and foremost step in this field. After the long duration therapy, patients will be able to lead a normal healthy life. This project, which will be a first of its kind in India, is conceived by Dr. Ajay (PT), who is also the founder of Palliative Physiotherapy.
