Laxmi's story is a reminder that our everyday choices have consequences for animals who have no voice.
She was abandoned the moment she stopped giving milk, left to wander.
She came to us on her own, quietly seeking safety, and has remained unclaimed for over a month.
Her story forces us to question our habits and our comforts.
Going vegan is not about perfection, it’s about refusing to support an industry that treats living beings as disposable.
Small shifts in our choices can spare animals a lifetime of suffering.

Our Story

Raahat, an Animal Hospital & Vegan Sanctuary in Village Nanurkhera, Dehradun, is the only facility of its kind in the State.

We are a Vegan Rescue Centre and run a Rescue Service which attends to emergencies in and around Dehradun.

We also have a Vegan & Animal Rights Library at the Sanctuary.

Raahat provides shelter & medical aid to the sick and the injured community animals.
