I didn’t “give up” dairy. I walked away from violence.
Behind every glass of milk is a mother whose baby was taken from her. Behind every dairy product is a cycle of forced impregnation, separation, and exhaustion until her body gives up. This isn’t nourishment. This is exploitation dressed as tradition.
We’re taught to see milk as harmless, even essential. But there is nothing natural about taking from another species what was never meant for us. Especially when it comes at the cost of her freedom, her child, her life.
I stopped consuming dairy because I refuse to normalize suffering for taste. Because compassion should not have exceptions. Because the strongest choice we can make is to stop participating.
This is not about diet. This is about justice.

Bringing an animal into your home is not an emotional impulse. It’s a responsibility that, very often, lasts years.
Compassion is not how you feel in the moment.
It is how you show up, consistently, for a life that depends on you.

Pierce the most sensitive part of their body.
Control every movement with pain.
Break resistance until silence looks like obedience.
We’ve seen this before.
Different victims. Same system.
When control is built on suffering, call it what it is.
