CAREGIVER CLINIC AT VIMHANS by Dept. of Mental Health Nursing is an initiative to extend mental health facilities for the caregivers of persons with mental illness. Caregiver Clinic sustains the holistic treatment approach while considering the overall skill enhancement and positive involvement of the caregivers in the treatment of patients. The clinic involves services such as :

-Awareness building and Psychoeducation

-Self help groups

Parenting a child with special needs comes with unique challenges, and counseling can be a great way to gain support, strategies, and emotional resilience... The Department of Psychology at VIMHANS works with children with special needs, and more specifically their parents to enhance their understanding and skills in managing the child. Our specialised workshops and training programs for students/ existing counsellors focus on the practical aspects of interacting with such families, and gently guiding them through the process.
