Ever wondered what you're really looking at in a spine MRI?
Swipe through to learn the basics:
- Disc – The cushions between your vertebrae that absorb shock
- Endplate – The cartilage layer that connects the disc to the bone
- Nucleus Pulposus – The soft gel-like center of the disc
- Spinal Canal – The passageway that carries your spinal cord and nerves
- Cauda Equina -The cauda equina is a bundle of spinal nerve roots that extend downwards from the end of the spinal cord
- Spinous Process – The bony part at the back of each vertebra
The more you understand your spine, the better you can care for it.
