On this International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate the strength, resilience, and compassion of women everywhere.

As an oncologist, I see every day how incredibly strong women are—whether they are patients fighting cancer, caregivers supporting families, or doctors and nurses saving lives. Their courage inspires us to work harder for better awareness, early detection, and access to care.

Today is a reminder to empower women with health, knowledge, and opportunity—because a healthier woman means a healthier family and a stronger society.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women who inspire us every day. 💜

Free cancer screening for breast and cervical cancer ..

Cervical cancer update :
Fact : Cervical cancer is considered nearly 100% preventable through vaccination against the human papillomavirus (HPV) and regular screening

However whats happening is a shocking reality:

1. GLOBOCAN 2022 and updated reports from early 2026, approximately 79,906 indians deaths every year amdue to cervical cancer.

2. This equates to roughly one woman dying every 8 minutes.

3. India alone accounts for nearly one-fourth of all global cervical cancer deaths (approximately 23%)

4. Cervical cabcer is the second leading cause of cancer death among Indian women

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among the urban female and is on rise .. good news is it’s largely a preventable disease and if not then can be easily diagnosed in early stage where treatment outcomes are very good , with high chances of complete cure ! But the problem lies in ignorance among general public leading to late presentation , alomigs 70-80 % of breast caver comes in stage 3/land stage 4 , where treatment is usually long and costly!
