World Antimicrobial Week (18-24 Nov )

Antibiotics resistance happens when bacteria change and become resistance to the antibiotics used to treat the infections they cause.

• Use antibiotics only when prescribed by a certified health professional.

• Always take the full prescription, even if you feel better.

• Never use left over antibiotics with others.

• Never share antibiotics with others

• Prevent infection by regularly washing your hands.

November 10 is observed worldwide annually as the World Immunization Day. This day is celebrated to create awareness about the significance of getting timely vaccinations against vaccine preventable diseases.

Immunization is the process in which a person is made immune or resistant to an infectious disease. It helps safeguard a person from life threatening diseases and is one of the most cost-effective health investments.

Edward Jenner, the father of vaccines, was the first to test a protective method against smallpox in 1796 using a technique which was later termed as immunization.
The 20th century saw rapid development and production of vaccines against pertussis (1914), diphtheria (1926), and tetanus (1938) and many more followed.

The development of vaccines and immunization is the sole reason we have eradicated a deadly disease like polio from our country and control death rates during pandemic. Failure to immunise communities can, and has brought back diseases that have been eradicated for so long that treatment and care procedures are obsolete.

On the occasion of WORLD HEART DAY
Indian medical association in partnership with CYTOPOT ROTARY CLUB JDN Delhi NCR Organised a week of free health camps all across Delhi NCR.

Our student volunteers participated on the first day of the camp and we are proud of there initiatives and hardwork 🌟

INDIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION New Delhi in association with Rotary Club and JDN, Delhi-NCR had organized a free Medical Health Camp from 26th September, 2021 to 1st October, 2021 on the account of ‘World Heart Day’ which is celebrated worldwide annually on 29th September.

Medical aids like ECG, BP, BLOOD GLUCOSE, HEMOGLOBIN and many other facilities were provided to the patients free of cost.

Numerous medical students from different colleges volunteered for the camp!

The camp mainly aimed towards providing free checkups to all those who can’t prevail them readily.

IMA - MSN HIMSR is filled with gratitude to have been able to be a part of this event ✨
