Resting Pandemic Face. (Hiding happy face/sad face/annoyed face/amused face since 2020)

Masks are here to stay and are so very important. But I think it's slightly unfortunate and different that neither I can clearly see & remember my patients' face ; nor can they remember mine clearly, I assume. Taking this opportunity to thank all my patients who got operated by me in the ongoing pandemic despite the barriers (masks/ppe/distancing), with the same faith. Hoping for safer times. Till then, do keep the masks on.

Overly large breasts can cause multiple problems like, pain in neck, shoulder & back, feeling of heaviness/discomfort, rashes in the fold below the breasts and poor posture. Large breasts can make the lady not only self consciousness & unhappy, but also come in the way of exercise, sports and restrict choice of clothes. The solution is BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY, in which a part of skin and fat from the breasts, is removed to reduce the size, while bearing in mind the desired shape! While the results improve over a period of few months, the patient feels relieved & happy soon after the surgery!

Surgery for Foot drop. Foot drop is inability to lift up front part of the foot & toes due to paralysis & weakness of concerned muscles. Common causes are nerve injury or nerve compression. This video shows a patient with foot drop following cut injury in the back of leg. Common Peroneal Nerve repair and tendon tranfer was done. Tendon tranfer involves transferring healthy muscle to aid the function of paralysed or weake muscles.

About yesterday : Case 1 is for a patient with lip & mouth cancer (after excision by ENT Surgeon). Case 2 is for tummy fat in another patient.

As IAAPS (Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) completed 25 years, Silver Jubilee celebrations were about reminiscing the past, celebrating the present and a vision for the future. A beautiful virtual event organised under the current and able leadership of Dr. Rakesh Kalra, Dr. Medha Khair Bhave, Dr. Aditya Aggarwal and Dr. Rajat Gupta and executive committee, brought together members to thank all of them as well as to launch multiple new initiatives.

President's address about the society's ongoing work, complete with hoisting the IAAPS flag and presenting the 'Aesthetic Paathshala' logo (designed by Dr. Jinchu Sundar). A beautiful movie created by Dr. Kiran Naik enlightened us about the past of the association, whereas a vision for future, was presented by future president Dr. Sandeep Sharma. An insight into the work being done at present by Dr. Medha Bhave . Past Presidents, Secretaries, treasures and travelling professors were felicitated with much gratitude. So were the contributors to social media channels, webinars, IAAPS website and winners of various quiz.
