nari.nic.in – NARI Portal for All Women Schemes Launched by Central Government

Ministry of Women and Child Development, Central government has launched NARI Portal. Subsequently, this portal will provide information regarding all the women related government schemes. Accordingly, citizens can access information regarding several govt. programmes like Mahila Shakti Kendra, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Janani Suraksha Yojana etc. on the NARI Portal through the official website nari.nic.in

NARI stands for "National Repository of Information For Women". This portal consists of around 350 different schemes for welfare of women and will get updated timely.

Moreover, this portal has schemes which are distributed in 8 different areas for the 4 different age groups. NARI Portal consists of the schemes of the central govt. along with the state govt. schemes.

NARI Portal Schemes Areas
The 8 different areas of the women schemes are as follows:-

Health Education
Employment Housing & Shelter
Addressing Violence Decision Making
Social Support Legal Support
Moreover, these schemes are applicable to the women belonging to the 4 different age groups. The age groups are as follows - 0 to 6 years, 7 to 17 years, 18 to 60 years and 60+ years.

Atal Jan Aahar Yojana to Provide Meal @ Rs. 10 for Poor People

South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) launches Atal Jan Aahar Yojana for poor people. Subsequently, people from the economically weaker sections can now buy meals (lunch) at just Rs. 10 from the booths of the civil bodies. Delhi govt. has started this scheme to provide nutritious meals to the needy people in a phase wise manner.

In the initial phase, the state govt. has started this scheme at 5 locations in the areas of South Delhi. All the citizens can avail this scheme and buy lunch in just Rs. 10 from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.

Atal Bhoojal Yojana – Water Conservation Scheme to be Launched by Central Govt.

Central Government is going to start Atal Bhoojal Yojana - Water Conservation Scheme. Subsequently, this scheme will improve the existing condition of several water bodies of the country. In addition to this, the proposed scheme will help in raising the level of ground water to meet the needs of the agricultural sector. Central govt. has proposed 6,000 crore to successfully implement this large project.

This scheme will raise the underwater level to provide pure and clean water for the use of farmers. Govt. will ensure revival of water bodies to properly supply groundwater and Ganga River Water for agricultural needs. Moreover, all the people of rural and urban areas can take benefits of this scheme.

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister announces this water conservation scheme on 21 December 2017 at the question hour of Lok Sabha. The authorities are still working to successfully implement this scheme. Subsequently, Finance Ministry will approve the budget for this Bhoojal Pariyojana.

Atal Bhoojal Yojana - Features
The important features and highlights of this scheme are as follows:-

Necessity - The level of ground water is reduced to its lowest level in the recent years because of extensive tapping across the country. Govt. has planned this scheme to conserve the water bodies which is an area of concern for the authorities.
Benefits - This scheme will help in reviving the water bodies. Moreover, the levels of ground water will also get improved especially in rural areas.
Beneficiaries - Govt. will implement this scheme across the country. All the people can then use underground water or water from Ganga river. This scheme will provide more benefits to the people of rural areas as compared to the people in the urban areas.
Provisional Budget - Central govt. has allotted a budget of Rs. 6000 crore for this scheme. But the approval process from the Finance Ministry is still in progress. In addition to this, Union Ministry of Water Resources is also holding talks to the World Bank for the financial assistance.
Central govt. is planning to introduce this scheme to improve the water bodies across the country. This scheme will resolve the problems of getting ample water to satisfy the need of water for agricultural purposes. Central govt. will launch Atal Bhoojal Yojana after the financial issues get resolved.

Delhi NCR Nursery Admission 2018-19 Online Schedule | Start & Last Date

Directorate of Education, NCT Delhi has released the admission Schedule for the Nursery Admission 2018-19. Subsequently, this schedule will make the application process smooth for the Entry level Classes (Nursery / KG / 1st). Accordingly, all the parents can apply for their wards below 6 years of age to get admission in 1700 private unaided recognized schools. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website edudel.nic.in

The state govt. will conduct admissions for 75% seats while the central govt. will fill the remaining 25% seats. These 75 per cent seats are of open category other than economically weaker sections and disadvantaged category.

Henceforth, the online registrations will start from 27 December 2017. The candidates will have to apply online through the official website before 17 January 2018.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to get admission:-

Age Limit -
Pre School (Nursery) - Candidates should fall below the age of 4 years as on 31 march of the year in which candidate is seeking admission.
Pre Primary (KG) - The age of the candidate must be below 5 years of age as on 31 March of the year of admission.
Class I - Candidates age should be less than 6 years on 31 march of the admission year.
Marking Scheme of Nursery Admission 2018-19
Candidates will get admissions through 100 point system. Subsequently, school management will set the eligibility criteria and then upload list on the educational website till 26 December 2017.

The online application forms will get available at school or through online mode from 27 December 2017. Moreover, DoE forms monitoring cell to resolve the queries of parents.

Ama Clinic Yojana & Anmol Yojana Launched in Odisha for Health Care Services

Odisha government has launched Ama Clinic Yojana and Anmol Yojana for better health care services in the state. Ama clinics will provide several additional health care facilities in the urban areas whereas Anmol Yojana is to provide tablet computers to the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifes (ANMs). Subsequently, these 2 yojana will provide latest and better health services to the poor and needy ones. Moreover, Odisha govt. will start implementing these schemes from 1 January 2018 (New Year).

Under the Ama Clinic Yojana, the state govt. will provide services like special consultations in obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, medicines etc. to benefit around 45 lakh people in the urban areas. Anmol Yojana will provide Anmol tablets to the ANMs to equip them with latest equipments to monitor the real time services to the patients.

Furthermore, the state government has also launched 2 other Health Care Scheme - Nidan Scheme for Free Diagnostics in the public health facilities and Sahaya Scheme for Free Dialysis Services in govt. hospitals. For this reason, state govt. is going to spend Rs 600 crore over a duration of 5 years.

Ama Clinic Yojana
The important features and details of this health scheme are as follows:-

This clinic yojana is to ensure availability of better health care services in the state for the economically backward people in the urban areas.
Subsequently, the primary objective of this scheme is to reduce the number of deaths due to insufficient health care services. Moreover this scheme will also reduces the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) across the state.
Accordingly, the state govt. will start this programme on the New Year's eve i.e 1 Jan 2018.
Henceforth, this scheme will provide benefits to around 45 lakh people in the urban areas.

Number of Awards - NRDC can give a maximum of 2 awards in this category.
Amount of Award - The total amount of this award category is Rs 5 lakh to each winner.
National Societal Innovation Award of the Year -
Concerned Area - Agriculture, Rural, Energy and Environment.
Number of Awards - NRDC can give a maximum of 3 awards in this category.
Amount of Award - The total amount of this award category is Rs 3 lakh to each winner.
National Budding Innovators Award of the Year -
Concerned Area - These awards are for students only subject to the eligibility criteria as follows:-
At the time of filling the application, candidate must be registered in Bachelor's or Master degree in any Academic or Research Institutions/ Universities/ Affiliated Colleges.
The maximum age limit for this budding innovators award is 28 years.
Moreover, the Head of the Institution must forward the application.

Triple Talaq Bill – Oral Divorce for Muslim Women Banned by Central Government

Cabinet Committee of Central Government approves the Triple Talaq Bill (Muslim Women Protection of Rights on Marriage Act) 2017 for Muslim Community. Subsequently, this bill is in accordance with the Supreme Court's decision to make the practice of "instant" triple talaq a punishable offence. This decision of the central government is to reduce the suffering of Muslim Women and to prevent exploitation of women from the Muslim men.

As per the provisions of the draft bill which was sent to various states earlier, there was a proposal to make triple talaq a cognisable (sangyey) and non-bailable offence. Moreover, anyone found guilty will get jail term for 3 years.

Accordingly, this bill declares instant Triple Talaq as "unconstitutional" and makes it "Illegal" under Law. This bill is designed for empowerment of the women of the muslim community.

Provisions of Triple Talaq Bill
The important provisions of this bill are as follows:-

As per the proposed law, instant triple talaq (talaq-e-biddat) is illegal and a punishable & non-bailable offence.
Under this bill, triple talaq in any form - spoken (oral), in writing or through any other electronic means is banned.
Accordingly, muslim men cannot give talaq to their wife through e-mail, SMS or Whats-App.
Henceforth, victim of the instant triple talaq can file a police complaint or approach to the magistrate to seek custody of their minor children.
Moreover, muslim women can ask for maintenance from their husband. The amount of maintenance will be judged by the magistrate.
Subsequently any Muslim men performing the instant talaq can get a jail term for 3 years.
