Eat With Locals There is no other way to discover a city and its people than eating local food with them. Cook Along with us till we are able to host you!

Since none of us can not travel at the moment, we bring the local Indian food to your kitchen right from our home. It takes most people a long time before they realise that being a tourist and being a traveler are two very different things. For most people, their travel plans are usually in the form of set itineraries provided to them by their Travel Agents, or those they've created themselves based on what they've heard or read. One important aspect that most itineraries almost always seem to skim over is the local culture found in the everyday lives of the people inhabiting a city. Sure, the itineraries ensure that tourists get to see the famous monuments and visit the famous markets, and sure these visits make for some memorable pictures and stories. But is that really all that a city has to offer? We believe that one of the best and most fulfilling ways to get to know a city is through its people and their lives. We believe that the food of a city is a true testament to its cultural heritage, and who understands the food of a city better than it's own people? At Eat With Locals, our mission is to ensure that when you travel across a city in India, you experience the soul of that city - by sharing a meal with the locals and therefore experiencing the true heartbeat of that city. Go ahead, discover India through its food. Go ahead, Eat With Locals!

Beetroot cutlets are very healthy and nutritious. You can either grate raw beetroot or boil the beetroot and then grate. Add boiled potatoes for taste as beetroot has a very distinct taste and flavour, I added soaked poha as it acts as a binding agent. Its a very simple recipe which can be prepared in a jiffy! I usually make the cutlets and freeze them in a zip pouch.

The Indian Vedic food is all about eating healthy and living longer. The Indian medicinal text of Ayurveda (ayu means age and veda means the literature) advises a systematic view of diet and nutrition.

The essential mantra is to eat a balanced diet at the right time, having the right tastes, in the right quantity, eating appropriately as per the weather, etc.

As per the ancient perspective of Ayurveda, there are six tastes of food: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent and pungent.

In most parts of India, day-to-day meals in most households align with the criteria of Vedic food to a large extent.
