Hi. I am Dr Girish Cally, an Anesthesia and Intensive care specialist based in Delhi. I am attached to various hospitals as a consultant. I also run a maternity center (Sai Drishti Maternity Centre) with my wife Dr Sapna Cally, who is a gynecologist.
Apart from being a doctor, I am also a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer stage 2 in 2018. Underwent surgery and chemotherapy. Now i am perfectly fine.
Every dark cloud has a silver lining. Thats true in my case too. That episode made me wiser, more kind, more selfless, more compassionate. Now I can feel the misery, pain and mental agony of my patients far better. My disease not only made me a better Doctor, but also a better human being.
apart from modern medicine, i tried many other things during that period. It gave a much wider spectrum to my approach towards my patients. I have started this page to share my knowledge, my feelings, my wisdom, my thoughts for the benefit of others.
God has been very kind to me. He has given me more than what bI deserve. Now, it's my turn to payback.
