Working in mental health is rewarding but comes with its risks. Just recently, I had a pen pierced into my palm, and another little one jumped on me, breaking my nail—both in the same week.

Yet, in this field, we can’t always defend ourselves as most would. Ethics, policies, and our own values remind us to prioritize the safety and dignity of those in crisis over our own comfort or instinct to protect ourselves.

The bruises, the injuries, and even the emotional toll are often unseen. But I always have—and always will—show up with my best: my compassion, my patience, and my resilience. Because this work matters, and the people I care for matter even more ❤️‍🩹

I’ve just finished watching Adolescence by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham on Netflix—and all I can say is this: The series delves into complex themes such as the influence of toxic online communities, the impact of social media on youth, and the challenges of modern parenting.

It’s truly a masterpiece. And of course, a warning, which must be paid attention.
