“I’m fine” is one of the most misunderstood sentences in a relationship.

Because sometimes it means exactly that. And sometimes it really, really doesn’t.

In the follicular phase, “I’m fine” is usually honest. Energy is higher, emotions feel more proportional, and it’s easier to communicate what’s going on. Estrogen is rising, which supports serotonin and cognitive clarity. Things feel steadier.

In the luteal phase, “I’m fine” can mean “I’m overwhelmed and I don’t have the energy to explain it.” Emotions can feel heavier, reactions more intense, and patience thinner. Progesterone rises and then drops, and serotonin can dip, which makes everything feel closer to the surface.

Same words. Different biology. Completely different meaning.

So instead of pushing for an explanation, try asking: do you want comfort, space, or solutions?

Send this to someone who needs to understand what “I’m fine” actually means for you.

You don’t just celebrate Navratri. You live it.

For centuries, we’ve worshipped the nine forms of the goddess during Navratri.

But no one tells us this:

A woman’s body moves through these forms every single month.

From creation…
to nurturing…
to chaos…
to rest…
to renewal.

Each phase isn’t random. It’s a shift in energy, hormones, emotions—a transformation.

Yet we’re taught to fight it.
To be the same version of ourselves every day.
To ignore the power in these changes.

But what if your mood swings weren’t weakness?
What if your sensitivity, your anger, your stillness—
were all different forms of Shakti?

You are not “too much.” You are cyclical. You are powerful.

This Navratri, don’t just look outside for the goddess.
Recognize her within you.

We’ve been taught that being a “good woman” means putting everyone else first.

Good daughter.
Good wife.
Good mother.
Good caregiver.

But rarely: good caretaker of our own health.

And that conditioning comes with a cost.

Research shows that women make up about 66% of caregivers globally, often juggling work, household responsibilities, and emotional labor at the same time. (Wikipedia)

Because of this caregiving burden, many women delay doctor visits, ignore symptoms, and deprioritize their own wellbeing—increasing their risk of chronic health issues and burnout. (CDC)

This is what people call the “caregiver paradox”:
The people taking care of everyone… often take care of themselves the least.

In this clip from She Sparks, Dr. Nikki Yadav talks about why reclaiming responsibility for our own health is not selfish, it’s necessary.

Because a healthier world for women starts with a simple shift:

👉 Your health is not secondary.

What’s one way you’ve noticed women being conditioned to ignore their own health?
Let’s talk in the comments.

Today the Supreme Court of India declined to mandate nationwide menstrual leave, saying compulsory policies could unintentionally affect women’s employment prospects and should be decided by policymakers.

The decision has sparked strong reactions online.

Do you ever feel like a completely different person before your period?

For some people, these intense mood changes are linked to PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder).

For years, many people have been told it’s “just PMS.” But severe premenstrual symptoms are real, and they matter.

Women deserve better support for their hormonal and mental health.

That’s why HealCycle exists to support you 💙
