Our Advanced Listening Skill Training held on 8 November at Calicut offered an immersive, hands-on experience in the art of therapeutic and active listening.

Participants engaged in interactive exercises, real-life simulations, and guided reflections to strengthen empathy, communication, and presence in helping relationships.

Led by Dr. Abdul Gafoor, Clinical Psychologist, the session blended insight with practice - transforming the way we listen and connect.

Listening Community Conducts Mental Health First Aid Workshop in Calicut

As part of World Mental Health Day observance, Listening Community organized a one-day training workshop on Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) in Calicut.

The workshop aimed to build community capacity in recognizing and responding to mental health challenges. Twenty participants - including medical professionals, psychologists, social workers, teachers, and students - took part in the training.

Participants expressed that the workshop enhanced their confidence in offering immediate support and connecting people to professional help. Certificates of participation were distributed at the conclusion of the event.

Through initiatives like this, Listening Community continues its mission to create compassionate, listening-centered communities.
