📢 Important Update: NCAHP Mandates Implementation of Approved Curricula from Academic Year 2026–2027

The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP), under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has officially issued a circular (No. NCAHP 011/2025, dated 22 August 2025) regarding the mandatory implementation of ten (10) approved Allied and Healthcare Professional curricula starting from the Academic Year 2026–2027.

Key directives include:
✅ Mandatory adoption of NCAHP-approved curricula by all institutions offering Allied and Healthcare courses.
✅ Constitution of a dedicated Board of Studies / Board of Education for Allied and Healthcare Education in all Universities and Deemed Universities.
✅ State Allied and Healthcare Councils to ensure compliance and implementation; where Councils are not yet formed, the responsibility lies with the respective State/UT Health Departments.
✅ Action Taken Reports (ATRs) to be submitted within 45 days of the circular’s issue.

This directive marks a crucial step toward standardizing Allied and Healthcare education in India, ensuring academic excellence, professional accountability, and national uniformity across healthcare disciplines.

📢 NCAHP Announces New Curricula for Occupational Therapy and Medical Laboratory Sciences

The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP), under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has taken a significant step forward in strengthening healthcare education across the country.

🗓️ As per the notice dated 15th October 2025, NCAHP has officially approved new curricula for Occupational Therapy and Medical Laboratory Sciences under the provisions of the NCAHP Act, 2021.

🏫 All educational institutions offering these programs are directed to adopt the updated curriculum from the academic session 2026–27.

This progressive move represents a major milestone in aligning Allied and Healthcare education with global standards, ensuring that future professionals are equipped with modern, evidence-based, and patient-centered competencies.
