How and when you should chant Mantra?
The ordinary way of chanting

This is for those, who do not meditate

Sit crossed legs, close your eyes, take a bead ( mala) and start chanting it with the help of lips without making any sound

While chanting, be extreme conscious at each of the letter to this mantra, suppose you are chanting aum…then you should be fully conscious that you are chanting aum, there should be no other thoughts at that time

Please Remember, how many times you chanted the mantra does not matter, the quality of chanting matter, you can experience the difference by yourself in your mental state with normal chanting with no awareness and conscious chanting

The extra ordinary way

This is also ordinary way, but for meditators, this is advance form of chanting

Sit in siddhasana ( google it ), close your eyes

Bring image of om namah shivay written in mind, stablize that image in your mind and start chanting

With practice, you will see that image in mind just like subtitle written on any video, where you see subtitles along with movie

In the same way , you will see the image of the letters of mantra and will chant while looking at them inwardly

Be patient, don't expect result in 10 days, do this atleast 3 months and if someone s starting with ordinary way, then even without meditation they can reach to extraordinary way to chanting with practice after all practice makes a men perfect ( women too)

If this resonates, also known as the ‘peace abiding’ meditation is a practice of

Shamatha stabilises the mind and creates stillness and calm by rooting your awareness on an anchor or object of attention. The most common anchor you’ll find is focusing on the breath whilst gently returning to your breathing when you find your mind has began to wander.

By observing with equanimity we find our relationship with the mind begins to change and we become less reactive. PRACTICE

Sit with a straight spine either in a chair or in a comfortable cross-legged position. A humble tucking of your chin helps elongate the back of the neck. Gently close your eyes and rest your hands in whatever position or mudra is comfortable and simply take your awareness to your breathing. You can observe the sensations at your nostrils or upper lip and when you find your mind begins to wander, very gently without tension bring your awareness back to just watching the breath. 🙌

Namaste & may all being be happy 🙏🏻
