After a long pause the Durgapur obstetrics & Gynaecological society is active again.
Arranged a good CME on newer medical managements of AUB.
We also planned to pay our tributes to our founder member Dr C R Banerjee sir who left us on January 2024

There was a great panel discussion and also quiz competition for our PGTs.

A historic day for Durgapur obstetrics and gynaecology society, 41st Annual day celebration on 16th of April, the day began with live laparoscopic surgeries performed by stalwarts-Dr Subhas Ch Halder and Prof (Dr) Alok kr De, Surgeries done at city hospital Durgapur and live streaming of this at hotel Citi Residenci where approximately 90 Faculties and delegates attended the event from different parts of the state.

The program continued with Brilliant Oration by the Robotic Sensation Dr Kaustav Basu on Robotic Surgery.

Followed by lamp lighting by our chief guest Dr Arunangshu Ganguly sir ( chairman Health world hospital),

Rabindra sangeet by our team members and felicitation of our senior members.

A great day of learning and a treat to the eyes.

A great privilege for The Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society of Durgapur.
As we are a part of the “Na Na Anemia Yatra”. The Yatra to improve awareness of anemia.
This Yatra started from Rishikesh and travelled 20 cities across 5 states to finally culminate in Kolkata, We are the first one in West Bengal to receive this.
The Day started with a anemia detection camp at SD Hospital Durgapur with 75 women tested for anemia.
Finally a CME and Cultural program at ITC Pushpanjali.
National FOGSI faculty visit our place and made This a memorable day for us.

Another successful programs under the banner of Durgapur Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society.
September 24: Pre-puja celebration with Eminent Prof Ashish Mukherjee sir talking on the recent updates on infertility and Dr S P Maity (Fertility specialist From Rashmika Fertility Kolkata) discussing his real life case scenarios.
This is followed by a Firing debate on IVF by Dr Saugata Sarkar (Anti) and Dr Sudip Samanta (Pro).
Lamp lighting and Cake cutting by all the senior members and our president Dr Niladri Sen and secretary Dr Dipanwita Sen.
This time we’ve arranged full LED setup for the visuals.
A great evening with lots of good people around.

For the very first time in Durgapur, we went a step forward and organised a hybrid model CME.
It’s a kind of Radio-Gynae meet.

Renowned Radiologists from Durgapur came under the banner of The Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society Durgapur to hear from their colleague Obstetrician.

Very interesting topics like 1st trimester screening 1st trimester anomaly scan and pre eclampsia screening and obstetric emergencies were discussed.

The speakers were Dr Debraj Mondal and Dr A K Todani.

A great enjoyable evening as we get to share our experiences with our Radiology colleagues.
Looking forward for more hybrid meets like this.

Our lively society is continuing its academic work.
Back to back CMEs
1st on “Ulipristal” by Dr J K Gupta as guest speaker and
another on the eve of the Independence Day “Redefining Miscarriage and PPH management“ by our very own society members- Dr Jheelam Mukherjee and Dr Sougata Sarkar.
Great learning and most of all great time spent together as a team.
Looking forward to carry on the good work.
