PCNL (Percutaneous nephrolithotomy) -minimally invasive surgical technique is the treatment of choice for large renal calculi (stones).Small incision is made in the flank region to retrieve the kidney stone fragments.

World ESWL Day is celebrated on February 7th. It is a day to honor the invention of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) It was first performed in 1980.. ESWL is a non-invasive procedure that uses shock waves to break up kidney and ureter stones.
ESWL facility is available @ Dr.Alur Nursing Home,Gadag..
