Beating Burnout With Mindfulness 🌿
Hospital work asks so much of our hearts and minds.
As caregivers, we pour everything into helping others heal.
But in the process, our own wells run dry.
What if mindfulness allowed us to become more resilient?
Small mindset shifts that renew our energy, empathy and focus?
I'm leading a new training for hospital staff on avoiding caregiver burnout through daily mindfulness practices.
Here's a preview:
➡️ Start and end each shift taking 5 deep, calming breaths. This grounds you in the present.
➡️ When you feel overwhelmed, take a "mind break" - step away to clear your mind. Even 60 seconds helps.
➡️ Practice accepting emotions without judgement. Remind yourself feelings come and go like waves.
➡️ End each day by writing down 1-2 things that fill you with a sense of meaning and purpose.
