Digital Planning of Zygomatic Implants for rehabilitation of congenitally missing teeth for a Patient with Ectodermal Dysplasia.
Ectodermal dysplasia is a genetic disorder characterised by deficient development of structures arising from ectoderm. The characteristic features of this disease is partial or complete anodontia(multiple missing teeth), hypohydrosis (Sweat glands make little or no sweat) and sparse thin hairs.
The management of such patients requires a planned approach to place dental implants accurately so as to give a long lasting predictable and safe treatment.
Its an attempt to give to the patient a natural looking set of teeth.
