Learn how to tip from hips to save your back. If you have difficulty in bending forward without rounding your spine, the Kneeling Back Extension is a great exercise for you.

Kneeling Back Extension: How to perform correctly.

1. Start kneeling with knees hip width or slightly wider.
2. Lightly arch your back by performing an anterior pelvic tilt.
3. Tip forward from your hips and lower to the desired depth.
4. Hold for the desired amount of time, then return back to the starting position.

This exercise is a pre-requisite for learning how to tip forward from your hips to reduce loading of the lumbar spine.

Squat Jump is a powerful plyometric exercise that strengthens your entire lower body. Squat Jumps target quads, hamstrings, glutes and calves while also toning the ab and back muscles. You can modify squat jumps by performing it with dumbbells or by using unstable surfaces like foam or BOSU ball.

The hip hike exercise is a very simple movement when done correctly, can have far-reaching benefits. This exercise strengthens the hip abductor muscles.

Whether you love or loathe them, squats work. They’re beneficial not only for your legs and glutes, but also your core. Plus, they’re a functional exercise, meaning they can help make everyday activities easier.
And while there’s no denying the effectiveness of a basic squat, there are plenty more ways of performing a squat. One of which is to change the surface. To activate the Vastus Medialis Obilique and Vastus Lateralis, surfaces that are highly unstable should be selected.

Physiotherapy is often part of what doctors call “conservative treatment” to avoid surgery, at least early on. People who are middle-aged or have osteoarthritis often tear the meniscus simply because it’s worn down. For them, PT may be as effective as surgery.
Even if you’re younger, fit and athletic, a conservative approach is often a good place to start.

SKATER SQUAT ON BOSU is one of our favourite single-leg exercises, because it incorporates strength, balance and stability necessary for movements in sports.
