🤚 Blood sugar and insulin in healthy range play a massive role in your egg quality, ovulation, time to conception, and reduce your risk of pregnancy complications.

🤚 Blood lipid panel and CBC: cholesterol is necessary to make all reproductive hormones but it needs to be present in the right types and amounts.
🤚HDL cholesterol levels influence follicular fluid and egg development. It has been suggested that high LDL cholesterol levels may reduce semen quality and lower s***m count.
🍛The good news is diet plays a huge part in healthy blood lipid levels.
🤚 Thyroid tests are often overlooked and you need all the markers to make a complete thyroid assessment.

🩸 AMH results are often misunderstood.
In general, AMH levels decrease with age as women lose eggs overtime.
🌼It's logical to assume that a lower AMH would predict lower fertility, shorter timeline for fertility potential, shorter time to menopause, but this is not really the case.

🌼The best use of AMH is to set expectations for an egg retrieval. If someone is doing IVF or egg freezing, an AMH level can help choose a protocol, a dose of medication, and give expectations for the number of eggs we could retrieve and that one cycle.

🌼A low AMH can predict a low egg number retrieved with ovarian stimulation, this can result in a lower number of embryos, a lower chance of success with a single egg retrieval, but..
🌼A low AMH does not necessarily predict someone's ability to conceive without assistance or with low tech treatment like intrauterine insemination (IUI).

🌼In addition, a high AMH does not necessarily mean that someone is fertile.
It can predict a high number of eggs retrieved, potentially higher number of embryos created, and a higher chance of meeting family goals with one egg retrieval. But it does not necessarily mean someone is fertile now or predict future fertility.
