Acne is one of the most frustrating conditions for the patient because it is affecting their confidence daily. So when they start a proper treatment regimen, they want the response to be immediate.
Why did I get a new breakout 5 days after starting medication?
Why hasn’t this pimple settles even after 2 weeks of tablets?

It will take time for acne to settle, you will get new spots in between, but it will be better with time.

You can also check if your medication is working on all causes of acne… like dead cell build up, bacterial overgrowth and excess oil production.

Most importantly, you can’t expect results if you are not taking care of your diet, having sugary drinks and junk food, not washing your face properly, using the tablets and creams on time as prescribed.

Talk to your dermatologist about any questions you have. Take it slow.

I cannot stress this enough. All the water you drink is not going into your skin. So saying that I drink 8 glasses of water a day, my skin cannot be dehydrated, is absolutely wrong.
Yes it is important to drink enough water, that’s the first step. But your skin will need deeper hydration with skin- appropriate moisturiser, Hyaluronic acid serums or injections or mesotherapy for deeper nutrition and hydration.
Do ask your dermatologist what’s best for you if this season is making your skin dry chapped and scaly.
