I am pleased to inform you my meeting with Maj Devender Pal Singh, a Kargil war veteran, Indian Blade Runner and 1st Disabled Solo Skydiver in Asia and motivation speaker, who now aspires to be a pilot and hold FAA license. Our effort was to evaluate him thoroughly and see that he is fit for flying and pursue his dreams. This will the first case in India wherein a war veteran with multiple disabilities shall be able overcome physical challenges and be to earn Wings Best of luck to Maj DP Singh!👍👍

Qatar Airways Captain Dies from Complications of COVID-19

Captain Wilhelm Harder from Paraguay, died this weekend in Qatar at the age of 56 after contracting COVID-19.

In an internal memo sent to Qatar Airways staff, the pilot's death was confirmed but the cause of death was reported by the airline as a "recent illness".

Paraguayan Ambassador to Qatar confirmed to several media sources that the pilot had died after contracting the deadly Coronavirus while working in Qatar.

Captain Harder had been flying for the gulf airline for nearly 16 years. During his time with the airline, he had flown various types of aircraft across both the Airbus and Boeing fleets. Most recently he was serving as a captain on the Boeing 747-8 cargo fleet.

Qatar has released several videos across social media showcasing the increased movements of its cargo fleet since the COVID-19 crisis begin, including using the 747 freighters to fly humanitarian aid to China for free.

Before coming to Qatar in 2004, Captain Harder flew for Skyservice Airlines in Canada and Brazilian based TAM.
