“Don’t let your struggle become your identity.”
Often people are frightened to talk about mental health because there are many misconceptions about mental illnesses. It's essential to learn the facts to prevent discrimination and to begin treating people with mental illnesses with respect and dignity. People are still unaware of the various symptoms of mental disorders. And, even if they feel the need to consult a mental health professional, they rarely do so because of stigma and fear of being labeled 'crazy' or 'mad'. Moreover, lack of sensitivity in handling such cases, stigma, labelling, and banishment inflicted by society and lack of a vigorous policy framework are but atoms in the plethora of issues relevant to mental illness. My aim of creating this page is to lead the way in helping ordinary people understand and manage their own mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live. This is and humble request to all the people over here to please help by spreading this message of breaking the stigma about mental disorders. In a time where dialogue and discussion through social media is probably the best way to bring a change in people's mindset, thus the need for a mental health support group is vital. Join me in my Endeavour to demystify the various mental health issues, end the stigma associated with it, and in turn create a more supportive society wherein those who are going through any mental health concerns can unhesitatingly seek help.
