On the occasion of Oral Hygiene Day we conducted a lecture session on "Maintenance of oral hygiene among dental prosthesis patients" by Dr Daya Shankar, senior lecturer, department of Prosthodontics.
We also distributed oral hygiene kits to all the patients visited our college today.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr Sudhanshu Saxena, Dr Silpi Chatterjee and Dr Kulshrestha.
The interness of the department namely Varsha, Ayushi, Ankita, Awantika,Anirban, Viashnavee, Anukity, Sudhir, Anmol, Anupriya all played an active role.

We specially thank Dr Daya Shankar for delivering such a fantastic lecture.

28thJuly On the occasion of "World Hepatitis Day" department of Public health dentistry of Hazaribagh college of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Demotand took an initiative to aware the villagers and the school going students of Dandai Kala, Sadar, Hazaribagh. There were 100 students and almost 175 villagers present in this dental checkup camp. We demonstrated brushing technique and distributed oral hygiene kits. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr Sudhanshu Saxena, Dr Silpi Chatterjee and Dr Kulshrestha Mishra. The interns of the department namely Varsha, Ayushi, Ankita, Awantika, Viashnavee, Anupriya played an active role.

Department of Public health dentistry dentistry of Hazaribagh college of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Demotand took an initiative to sensetize the students of Jharkhand Mahavidyala. We conducted oral and general checkup camp. We conducted oral hygiene kits and women hygiene kits. The camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr Sudhanshu Saxena and Dr Silpi Chatterjee and Dr Kulshrestha. The principal of the school helped us a lot to make the camp a successful one. The students posted in our department namely Siddhart, Ankita, Awantika, Anirban, Ayushi played a huge role.

International Self-Care Day is recognized each year on July 24 as a symbol that the benefits of self-care are experienced 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Department of Public health dentistry of Hazaribagh college of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Demotand took an initiative to sensetize the residents of gargali village. We conducted oral and general checkup camp. We conducted oral hygiene kits and women hygiene kits. The camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr Sudhanshu Saxena and Dr Silpi Chatterjee. The ward member Miss Asha helped us a lot to make the camp a successful one. The students posted in our department namely Siddharth, Sudhir, Anukriti, Varsha, Vaishnavee, Anupriya played a huge role.

On 3rd July "International Plastic Bag Free Day"
Help the fight against plastic pollution by eliminating those thin, filmy plastic bags. Try bringing reusable bags to the store, and forego bags for small purchases...
The department of public health dentistry took an initiative to distribute paper bags to the nearest shops of our college. It was conducted under the guidance of Dr Sudhanshu Saxena, Dr Silpi Chatterjee and Dr Dhruba Acharjee. Hul Diwas began in 1855 and is celebrated every year to commemorate the hul revolution led by Santhal brothers Sido, Kanho and Chand Bhairvav began in the Bhognadih village of Dumka.
On this occasion we organized a dental awareness camp among the santhal community people residing at Hatiari and distributed oral hygiene kits.

Industry visit was conducted for the final year BDS students at " Siddhidatri Aahar Private limited" . The students were guided by the production manager about the plant processing and the snacks they manufacture. And each year, individuals like yourself, entire communities, and various organizations all over the world join in to observe World Drug Day to help raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs pose to society.
