“Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food.” Hippocrates, father of medicine.

What is the meaning of this sentence?

Using food as medicine means being responsible. Finding out what and how much to eat.

Ignoring the functionality of food to lead a healthier life often leads us to another bad habit. Resort to drugs for every trifle . If we learned to take care of our diet we would have much fewer momentary annoyances that we pad with substances which, in most cases, are not essential for our body and which represent only a momentary solution.

Healthy food is capable of preserving our health from the vast majority of the new diseases of this century. Why not take back our life starting from a healthy and daily habit?

After all, the word diet, from the Latin diaeta , it means " way of life ", especially with regard to food intake.
It is not necessary to revolutionize the whole lifestyle we have had so far but to start in small steps.

Each of us must be responsible for our own health. Nobody else.
