6 years into this journey, and I chose to celebrate it in a way that felt meaningful to me.

Sitar for Mental Health wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience of slowing down, tuning in, and allowing myself to receive the same sense of calm and healing that I often witness in my work.

A small but important reminder that even as therapists, we need moments that pour back into us.

Five years ago, someone trusted me with their story.
Today, their gratitude reminded me that healing doesn’t end at the last session, it continues, grows, and finds its own time.

I’m still recovering physically and mentally (in a good way :p) from the whirlwind that the past few months and the end of November was. What began as me quietly writing articles for IMHS somehow transformed into co-organising a full-fledged national event. And what a journey it has been.

Standing in a room filled with 200+ mental health professionals, educators, researchers, and advocates felt surreal. Each conversation reminded me why this work matters. Why collaboration, curiosity, and community are the backbone of mental health progress in India.
I had the privilege of moderating two powerful panels alongside experts like , and all of whom have moved the needle in their own unique ways.
Another unexpected joy was hearing my juniors say, “Now we know the face of Well Prism.”
It reminded me how visibility is not about spotlight, it’s about responsibility, representation, and showing what’s possible.

Here’s to IMHS 3.0.
Here’s to building a mental health ecosystem that’s regulated, inclusive, accessible, and rooted in empathy.
Here’s to the conversations that spark change and to the community that makes it possible.

Being a therapist has taught me that it’s not always about the perfect thing to say, it’s about being there.
🌸 Holding space. Listening. Letting silence do its work.

There have been times when I’ve said something simple in a session and moved on,
but my clients held on to those words like anchors.

One of my clients at once told me that when I said,
“It’s okay. It’s okay that he’s feeling this way. And it will get better,”
he carried those words with him.
And whenever things felt heavy, he would repeat them in his head and feel a little lighter again.

It reminded me that therapy isn’t about giving answers.
It’s about offering presence, empathy, and a reminder of hope.

This Day, I’m reflecting on how far we’ve come as a culture, as a community in giving emotional and mental well-being the place it truly deserves. 🌿
