Job description
We are hiring Junior Safety Engineers for the HSE department. Selected candidates will be given a 4-week intensive internally-certified training in ‘Fire & Safety Engineering’. After the training, you will be posted in field positions in any one of our projects located across the length and breadth of the country. Your job role will be to audit and inspect the safety aspects and ensure that all site operations are conducted safely.

Selection Process
Selection process will start with a telephonic interview in English and Hindi followed by a hand written essay. Selected candidates will be informed later about further selection rounds.
Service Agreement
You will be recruited through a ONE YEAR (12 months only) service agreement. Keeping in mind that we will be providing a 4-week intensive training program, the effective period of the Service Agreement is ONLY 11 months.
Once you have completed one year of service in MEIL, your Service Agreement comes to an end and you will have the choice of requesting a transfer to our Project Ex*****on Teams based on your engineering branch (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.). If you do not choose to move to the ex*****on team, you can continue to work for the HSE Department.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Ensure there is an effective company policy for health and safety and that all employees, contractors and temporary workers are made aware of their individual responsibility
• Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Should be able to carry out HIRA/JSA for the project activities
• Should be able to carry out internal safety inspections, audits, walk-throughs etc.
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents
• Fully responsible for planning, reporting, implementing and monitoring all HSE requirements and compliance of all laws & statutory requirements.
• Shall carry out inspection to identify various unsafe conditions of work sites/machinery/equipment’s as well as unsafe acts on the part of workmen/supervisor/engineer while carrying out different project related works
• Should conduct Safety Committee Meetings with frequent intervals

Positions Available & Requirements

A. HSE Engineer

Positions available: 40

(a) B. Tech Graduate – full time
(b) 5 years' experience and above in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemicals or Bulk Chemical Manufacturing companies or Large Construction sector.
(c) Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety with one subject of construction safety from a recognized Institute (Institute recognized by AICTE / State council of technical education for India) or from RLI.

B. HSE Supervisor
Positions available: 50
(a) B.Tech/Technical Diploma/B. Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) – full time
(b) 2 years' experience and above as supervisor / safety in-charge in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical / Bulk Chemicals Industry / large construction sector.
(c) Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety with one subject of construction safety from a recognized Institute

C. HSE Steward
Positions available: 100
(a) Any graduation degree – full time
(b) 2 years' experience and above as supervisor / safety in-charge in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical / Bulk Chemicals Industry / large construction sector.
(c) Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety with one subject of construction safety from a recognized Institute

Additional Requirement
• Preferably have adequate knowledge of the language spoken by majority of the workers at the construction site.
• Spoken and written English proficiency.
• Valid two-wheeler driving license is COMPULSORY
