Netra Tarpana (also known as Netra Basti) is a classical Ayurvedic eye therapy designed to nourish, strengthen, and rejuvenate the eyes.
Netra” means eyes and “Tarpana” means nourishment or rejuvenation.
In this therapy, medicated ghee (clarified butter) is retained over the eyes for a specific period using a boundary made from black gram dough. The warm ghee deeply penetrates and nourishes the eye tissues.
