Just finished experiencing my very first pottery workshop.

Was quite enjoyable. Especially when there's time to kill and still tons of clay left.

I doubt any have the structural integrity to last more than a day, but maybe the end product of a future workshop I'll get the firing done for usage or decoration.

This was nice and new.

Had a bit of a snail theme going, which I hadn't initially planned.
Up first I made a snail with a cup for shell.
Then two shells.
Then a hand (just cuz).
Then a ring (the hand belongs to a married man).

Finally, on the potter's wheel, a glass. With an expert handholding through it. Simple, but most likely to see use.

Learnt there were 3 kinds of basic pottery methods.
Don't remember their names, but I refer to them as The Thumb Process, The Rolling Pin, and The Clay Snake.

Thank you for this and . It was a time well spent.

So today was A-MAZING!

It started off with work here, work there, but then moved on to preparing for my own play, a lunch break and partaking in one of the events and the final minutes of another.

Was incredible seeing my two different friend groups in one place, and finally doing the play.

Went way, way, WAY better than I was imagining.

It was a proper blast. I'm no play actor, but it's gonna be fun if I get to act and direct more. The size of the event, the platform, and the audience matters not.

I'll be plenty pleased with the audience being other people play reading.

Great food too. Both at the event and after.

It was a proper memorable day.

Thank you for this .hyd .

Baked something after a long while.

I made some brownies yesterday. Have always wanted to learn how to bake those. And they turned out much better than I was expecting. I had some very helpful supervision.

Was nice and fudgy. But maybe a little too soft since the cutting, as you can see, was very messy.

This Saturday I tried learning how to bake cookies, but somehow messed it up so badly that it became... a cake?

Technically it's probably a cake, and surprisingly the taste was ok.

Today has been off to a great start. So far I've been much more productive than usual, and I hope that becomes the norm for me.

This contour drawing I'm quite proud of. It captures a little of the sense of urgency the original photograph had. And although not my goal when it comes to creating these, it's always nice to have an emotion or feeling captured in an artwork.

I  knew Canva had this feature to erase an object but leave the background it's on look untouched, but today that I used it on a drawing of mine, I came to realize just how helpful that feature is.

I erased text from the left page (your left), and an object that was on the table the book was on. And that's so incredibly cool!

You bet your ass I'd be using it in future photos too, because I very much suck at photography. I don't know what props to use, what would be a flattering angle, what's the right background and most of the time I do it in awful lighting. The biggest reason though, is the fact that I'm quite lazy when it comes to taking photos.

I have been doing something called as "Contour Drawing" to learn the skill of making smoother and better lines.

What it basically is, is drawing one continuous line and trying to capture the photo being used as reference to the best of your ability. It really helps train your eye so as to avoid drawing unnecessary lines that need to tweaked or erased.

It is hard, yes, but it is just as enjoyable.

This one I made as a  logo for a fictional youtuber who vlogs a lot about japanese culture. As for the acronym "NV" in the logo, it expands to: Nihongo Vlogs

And for those who don't know, "Nihongo" is the japanese term for the japanese language.

Last week on World Mental Health day I was at an event held at Sweekar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences by . It was hosted by my therapist .

I was participating as a "book" in the Human Library section of where it was held. It was my first time doing a human library, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I felt like a storyteller of old times, although of nonfiction.

I was telling my story to those who took a seat facing me, and I was quite lucky with the first person who came to listen. I did a very terrible job storytelling and then asked her for feedback. And that feedback helped me a great deal with everyone who came after to listen. Not only with telling my story better but also with not getting nervous while doing so.

With every "reading" of me, I became better, although I did miserably with last two readers. Despite that I feel I've developed quite a liking to Human Library storytelling and am now interested in doing more of it.

But Human Library aside, I also took part in the art therapy workshop hosted by . That was quite fun. I'm awful at painting, but this was very laid-back and nice.

There were some performances, of which there were two singers I quite enjoyed listening to.
Overall, it was a day really well spent.
