How Should I Sleep Better?

If your nights feel restless, you’re not alone — hormone changes during menopause can disrupt your body’s natural sleep rhythm.

The key is to create balance before bedtime:
1. Eat your dinner early and light
2. Reduce screen time an hour before bed
3. Add magnesium-rich foods (like almonds, spinach, and pumpkin seeds) to calm your mind and hormones

Small rituals lead to big rest. Your body just needs a little help finding its new rhythm.

Save this post and try one of these tonight — your future self will thank you.

There’s a lot of noise online about “hormone-balancing herbs” for menopause but only a handful have consistent well-studied evidence behind them.

Here’s a shortlist you can trust other than some of the general botanicals in the post:
Well-Researched Botanicals for Menopause Support
(Evidence from clinical trials & major reviews)-Not all r found in India though.

Black Cohosh
Use: Hot flashes, mood swings, sleep support
Evidence: Multiple clinical trials show benefit in early menopause.
Note: Usually considered safe short-term, should be used with medical guidance for women with liver conditions.

Red Clover
Use: Hot flashes, bone density support
Evidence: Contains isoflavones (plant estrogens). Some studies show modest relief for hot flashes.
Note: Mild effect, safe in most women.

D**g Quai (mentioned in post)
Use: Menstrual/menopause balance (traditional Chinese medicine)
Evidence: Mixed results, often used in combination formulas.
Note: Can interact with blood thinners.

Maca Root (mentioned in post)
Use: Energy, libido, mood
Evidence: Small studies suggest improvement in sexual function & mood in postmenopausal women.

Evening Primrose Oil
Use: Breast tenderness, hot flashes
Evidence: Results mixed but still commonly recommended; safe for most.

Ashwagandha (mentioned in post)
Use: Stress reduction, sleep, mood balance
Evidence: Clinical studies show improvement in anxiety, sleep and stress resilience. Useful for menopause-related insomnia & irritability.

Chasteberry
Use: Hormone balance, PMS → sometimes used in perimenopause
Evidence: More data in PMS than menopause but can support cycle regulation during transition.
