WE ALL SEEK CLOSURE …
a way to find peace in the midst of life's most challenging moments.

A STORY FROM THEN TO NOW …….

This is the last picture with my brother.

This photo holds the touching memory of the last time I saw my brother, radiating joy on his wedding night.

Little did we know that within 17 days, a tragic bike accident would take him away from us.

Despite a significant 9-year age difference, our bond was strong, filled with shared stories and dreams of a future together.

The sudden loss left me without the closure I desperately needed.

Restlessness and a constant search for his presence in every corner of my life followed.

The grief took a toll, pushing me into depression and hallucinations.

CLOSURE became a profound need for my mind, conflicting with many “why’s” which left me feeling devastated

Eventually, In navigating this painful journey, I began thinking differently to process the heart-wrenching event.

It started working with my subconscious mind, to finally find closure.

These are 5️⃣ detailed steps that played a crucial role in this healing journey:

👉Accept the Harsh Reality: Acknowledging the difficult truth, though not easy, is the initial step towards healing.

👉Acknowledge Your Feelings: Embracing and understanding the range of emotions you're experiencing is crucial.

👉Feel the Entirety of Your Emotions: Venting out these emotions provides a holistic approach to managing your thoughts, feelings, and emotional cycles.

👉Tears Are for Yourself: Recognize that we don’t cry for losing the loved one, but realizing our own challenges in moving forward. Yes, it’s harsh, but real

👉Seek Professional Help: Working with a therapist is beneficial. Knowing you're strong enough to live and find happiness would bring solace to your departed loved one.

Closure is important because it helps us make sense of things that have ended, example like a relationship or the loss of a loved one.

It's like putting a final point on those chapters in our lives.

Seeking lets us deal with emotions such as anger, sadness, confusion, guilt, and hurt, which might be holding us back.

💡While answers may not take away all the emotional pain, they give us a starting point to work on healing & moving forward⏩

Everyone experiences the intensity of emotions differently, but seeking closure is a common way our minds seek understanding & acceptance.

⁉️What do you do when you see this message on your laptop screen?

At the first sight, you may feel frustrated, randomly pressing some buttons like Enter or Esc, isn’t it⁉️

You might start thinking about what error you might have made until you realize that, whatever it may be, you have to skip this window somehow and restart your laptop.

🔎Many times in life, we face such situations.

We were doing something, believing it was the right thing, and we only realized it was not, when we reached a dead end.

😟Suddenly, you find yourself stuck, clueless, with no clear path ahead.

🚶The only option is to walk back on the same path, but You feel devastated and fearful even to return.

Isn’t it relatable? that this is one of the most common events in our lives.

You try one path, and you do not reach your desired destination.

You take another path and yet another one until you reach your destination.

That's how it works.

💡The only differentiator is how quickly you recognize your mistake and avoid repeating the same mistakes again and again.

So when life gives you an error message, the first thing you should do is " the unknown."

Sometimes, the only way to achieve that is by repeating the process with more .

On my recent road trip to Udupi and Gokarna, I had the pleasure of trying veg pulao at different restaurants.

🤔 What amazed me was how the same dish tasted different in each place.

You see, I always thought authentic pulao was made through the dum cooking method, not by frying the rice.

So, I chatted with the restaurant staff to understand.

Turns out, some places fried the rice, while others used steaming, the process followed were different

It's surprising that using the same ingredients, the cooking method changes the taste.

🤔This got me thinking about our thoughts.

How we think and process information affects our experiences, and there's science to support this.

The science, especially neuroscience, tells us that our thoughts are connected to our brain's pathways.

How we think can literally rewire our brains. With a bit of self-awareness, you have the power to shape your life's outcomes.

“Subah Subah hi mood kharab ho gya, pura din hi barbad ho gaya”

We all have such days when we stumble open at the very first step we take and we see meaningless in running the race for the day.

Missing a train, forgetting a laptop at home, a big client rejecting a proposal, a main artist saying no to an event, breakfast food getting extra-salty ….. the list goes on.

But don’t you think these are very human mistakes that are inevitable?

The way you respond to those stressors decides whether it is a big deal or not?

The more you hold onto negative emotions the more it daunts you.

The solution is paradoxical. Accept what you feeling. Label it -Sad, irritated, or disappointed.

➡️Follow three-step process:

Acknowledge, Act, and Move on.

1️⃣ First, you accept that something has gone wrong. There won’t be a miracle to change it or reverse it. Like you are stuck in traffic you are going to be late there is no way you can fly and reach on time.

So rather than stressing over it or thinking why it happened to you just believe it happened.

It’s okay to feel sad or upset.

2️⃣ Once you acknowledge the situation, act in the best possible way to make it better.

Like calling your subordinate and inform that you are stuck in traffic and if he can manage alone in the meeting.

If your breakfast is ruined, order something or make quick bread-butter.

3️⃣ Then consciously shift your focus to something different rather than the stressors of failures that you experienced earlier.

This will help you to unwind from the negative effect on your body and mind and invest energy in something that can boost your positive energy.

Go and grab your favorite coffee, call your friend, and work on data.

Basically, replace your old experience with a new one to rediscover your equilibrium.
