Whenever there is a death. They say its because of doctors negligence. When will they say its patients negligence! Attendents negligence! Combined patient /Attendents negligence.
Negligence :rash driving.
Negligence: neglecting symptoms
Negligence: delaying treatment
Negligence: self treatment
Negligence:google doctor.
Negligence: no blood donor
Negligence : not following proper treatment.
Yesterday one of our patient was covid positive whom both lungs were showing consolidation. We had operated upon her for her tubal ectopic pregnancy without test as patient was in shock. But after her surgery all attendents were missing from the hospital blood was arranged by doctors. she was covid symptomatic and not maitinting saturation after a day of her surgery then she gives history of cough for last 3- 4 days prior to surgery!
Her X ray was done with a doctor and NO as attendents. Her rtpcr was done with another doctor and NO as attendent as RAT was negative but was symptomatic and having xray changes. Ct too was done to confirm again doctor accompanied. Patient does not remember any phone number and filerecords show
wrong number.
We did physician consultantion and decision to shift patient to GMC on oxygen beds! But how can we do that without attendents. Cmo informed Police informed treatment intiated and after 4 hours or so her attendent reported still doctor accompanied patient to GMC for proper handover.
And i am sure patient must be doing good now!
And mind u we do this almost everyday but then we see ungratitude people on facebook who blame us and even say why we are not protesting for lack of ventilator or oxygen! We must be taking money then for ur kind information in case of missing attendants we arrange for blood and medicines manytimes from our pocket!
I think if we take these comments seriously then the humainty within many of us will die. Only one think is keep us going that we are doing it for God and He will reward us!
