On 26th September 2014 , was born as Truevet Animal Nutrition Private Limited in Srinagar. Today, we celebrate not just a milestone, but the culmination of a vision that has burned brightly for ten years. Truevet's 10th anniversary fills my heart with pride, excitement, and an unstoppable drive to reach even greater heights.
I still vividly recall my days in Bengaluru, working for Cargill as an export manager. Before that, I had earned credibility in the animal healthcare sector, gaining valuable experience as a product manager, technical expert, and marketing strategist. Job offers flooded in from across India and beyond. But deep down, I knew my calling was back in Kashmir, my “Karambhoomi.” I wanted to return to my roots and build something groundbreaking — something that could make a global impact from the land that shaped me.
So what inspired Truevet? I saw the immense potential in the animal healthcare sector. The growing threats of enteric methane emissions, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), food safety concerns, and inefficiencies in animal production screamed for innovation. These challenges became the foundation of Truevet’s mission. I wanted to create solutions that didn’t just follow the status quo but redefined it. The blueprint for was sketched in Bengaluru and perfected across the bustling streets of Izmir, Taichung, and Dhaka.
Now, a decade later, Truevet stands tall, valued at over 20 million USD, with a global presence spanning eight countries, dozens of trademarks, and hundreds of patent-worthy innovations. From Africa to Taiwan, Thailand to Egypt, Dhaka to Accra, Truevet has become a force to be reckoned with — a bold, transformative player in the animal healthcare industry, with a brand synonymous with trust, excellence, and innovation.
But we are far from done. We are laser-focused on tackling three critical challenges that will reshape the future of animal health:
1. Pioneering solutions to dramatically reduce enteric methane emissions in dairy cows
2. Introducing safer, more effective alternatives to prevent and treat Porcine Eperythrozoonosis
3. Leveraging machine learning to predict somatic cell counts, improving efficiency and welfare in dairy cows.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible team that has walked this journey with me. My co-founder, Dr. Rajeev Saini, has been my rock. His tireless efforts and partnership have been the engine behind our success. Showkat A., your dedication and loyalty have left an indelible mark on the soul of Truevet. Zameer Sb, your wisdom and guidance have been our compass, and Hassan, I will forever be grateful for your unwavering support during our darkest times.
And to my family, friends, and all those who have believed in us, I thank you from the depths of my heart. You are the reason I’ve been able to stay focused, driven, and unwavering in my ambition.
Truevet is not just a company; it is a movement. We are here to stay, to innovate, and to lead. We are aiming high — by 2030, Truevet will be among the top 20 animal health companies in the world. And we will get there, inshallah, with determination, passion, and relentless ambition. Together, we are forging a path to a brighter, healthier future for animals, farmers, and the world.
God bless us all. God bless Kashmir. And God bless Truevet, as we march forward into the future with courage, purpose, and conviction.
