Safe nutritional intakes in CKD patients at risk of hyperkalemia include:
Protein intake of ≤ 0.8 g/ kg/day;
Salt intake of 5–6 g/day;
Phosphate intake of ≤ 700 mg/day;
Energy intake of 30–35 Kcal/kg/day;
Potassium intake of 2–3 g/day and
Alkali and fiber intake of 25–30 g/day.
