The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on March 21 to commemorate the Sharpeville massacre in South Africa, where police killed 69 people peacefully protesting apartheid “pass laws”. Established by the United Nations in 1966, it calls for global action to combat racism, xenophobia, and related intolerance.
On this International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we stand united in our commitment to equality, dignity, and justice for all. Discrimination in any form has no place in a progressive society, and together we must continue to challenge prejudice and build a more inclusive future.
At Mata Gujri University, we believe education is a powerful force against discrimination. Let us raise our voices, stand together, and create a world rooted in respect and humanity.
