A state of the art integrated fully automated biochemistry analyser Vitros 5600 by Quidel Ortho was officially inaugurated in the Central Laboratory of Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College Kishanganj on 11th April 2026. It was attended by Prof. (Dr.)Sudipta Bose, Honourable Vice Chancellor of Mata Gujri University, Prof.(Dr.) Asitava Deb Roy, Vice Principal, Prof.(Dr.) Tapan Mukhopadhyay, HOD Biochemistry and all other faculty members and staff of MGM Medical College along with representatives from Quidel Ortho.
This equipment has the capacity to perform all the routine and special biochemistry parameters including hormone, tumour and viral markers in a single integrated platform. The visionary step taken by the management shall substantially improve the patient diagnostic services under a single roof and in subsidized rates.
A key technological advantage is dry chemistry MicroSlide technology, which eliminates the need for water and reduces interference, improving analytical accuracy and stability.
Overall, VITROS 5600/4600 systems provide reliable, high-throughput, and contamination-free testing, making them suitable for medium to high-volume clinical laboratories.

Mata Gujri College of Nursing and MGM GNM Nursing School came together on 04.04.2026 to celebrate a moment filled with pride, gratitude, and quiet emotion, bidding farewell to the 4th Year B.Sc. Nursing (2021 Batch) and 3rd Year GNM (2022 Batch).

Sayonara 2026 was not just a farewell, but a reflection of years of dedication, sleepless nights, learning, compassion, and countless memories that shaped these young healthcare professionals. As they step forward, they carry not just knowledge, but the values of care, empathy, and service.
