World skin health day 2025 is observed on July 8th. As a part of this, IADVL Kerala is organising activities to promote awareness on skin health among the general public. Awareness classes will be held all over kerala on 12th July and Free medical camps on 13th July 2025.

As a part of commemoration of World Vitiligo day 2025, Community Dermatology and Media cell , IADVL Kerala organised a poster designing competition.
It was open to medical, nursing and paramedical students of Kerala as a single category.
Based on creativity, awareness generation and effort it was adjudged and the winners are as follows:-

First prize
Hiba Basheer, Final year MBBS (2020 batch) , Dr Moopens Medical College, Wayanad

Second prize
Aleena Eldose,4th Semester, BSc Nursing,
MOSC College of nursing kolenchery

Third prize
Neha Elizabeth Jacob, MBBS 3rd year, MOSC Medical college, Kolenchery

Dear all,
We are happy to inform you about a Poster Competition organized by Community Dermatology and Media cell, IADVL Kerala as a part of commemoration of World Vitiligo Day 2025. It is open to Medical, Nursing and Paramedical students of Kerala, of institutions affiliated to KUHS.

The rules are as follows:

1) Can be text only, or text with pictures/art which are original work of the member (Copyright images and AI generated images are not permitted)

2)Should be based on theme Vitiligo

3)Avoid derogatory/ stigmatising terms

4)Should have IADVL Kerala logo

5) Should be prepared as a single Microsoft PowerPoint slide in landscape orientation

7)The presentation must be in the PPT, PPTX, ODP or PDF format to be accepted

6) Avoid overlapping, animated objects or serial animations.

7)There should not be any markings or writings on the poster which can reveal the identity of the member.

The prize winning entries will be uploaded in the social handles of IADVL Kerala.

IADVL Kerala Leaders Meet Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala

Today, Dr. Rakhesh S.V., President of IADVL Kerala, and Dr. Feroz K., Immediate Past President, met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan. During the meeting, they handed over the cheque of the amount collected from IADVL Kerala members last year towards the Wayanad Relief Fund

In addition, they submitted two memorandum to the Hon’ble Chief Minister — addressing the rising menace of quackery in the field of dermatology in the state, and seeking clarification on GST regulations applicable to dermatologists and dermatology institutions.
